The Southern province, in the Kingdom of Delta...
"My Lord", General Cosmos bowed, and all the army men, who stood with him, followed. King Amos nodded acknowledging their greetings.
Cosmos led him into a room, a room where he was well awaited, after his presence was announced.
All the army officials greeted him, and he acknowledged them once more and took his seat. Cosmos, without wasting any time just cut to he chase and spread out a map on a table in the middle of the room.
"My lord, has decided that the next Kingdom we are going to attack will be Naya", he announced and pointed on the map. Murmurs roused among the crowd.
" Silence!!", the King ordered from his seat. " If you have a problem then say it to my face", Amos said. The group of men seated in the room were all silent for a while when a hand raised among them. " Speak", the King ordered.
"My lord, Naya is not a Kingdom to be trifled with currently, and I don't think going to war might be the best idea, why don't we gain them as allies.
They would surely make strong allies", the official spoke and the other men present all agreed to his idea. "Are you underestimating our strength?", the King asked him intimidatingly.
"Uh...uh, no, my Lord that's not what I meant.
Of course, we can definitely be..beat Naya", the official hurriedly corrected himself so as not to get his King angry.
" Naya has been growing big wings these days and it keeps on flying to great lengths. This is why we ought to put them in place", the King announced.
" I want all the army to begin preparations and Cosmos, tell my son about the upcoming attack and tell him to get information on Naya", the King ordered. The meeting was adjourned.
A few months later....
I woke up to the sun's blinding light in my eyes. Selena, my handmaid came up to me and greeted "Good morning, princess"
"Good morning", I answered quite lazily. "I hope you had a good night's sleep, you have a big day ahead of you, today", she smiled.
I sighed but still got to my feet and accepted the robe she handed to me. I had my final training before becoming an accepted warrior in my Kingdom today.
My name is Ivy, the third princess of the Naya Kingdom, one of the greatest Kingdom in the Western province, ruled by none other than my father King Ian(II) for over thirty years.
After getting dressed I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I was dressed in warrior clothes with very simple styling.
Nothing like my sisters and nothing like a princess.
I had to accept that, unlike other princesses, my life was mostly going to be all about wars.
A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts and a maid came in to announce that it was time for my final test.
...
I stood in the middle of the largest courtyard in the palace, clad in warrior clothes, holding onto my sword.
I stood face to face with none other than my trainer, Andrew, the head of our army, the greatest fighter I had ever known my entire life, second to my father.
For my final test before becoming a warrior, I had to fight with my own mentor.
I stared straight into his eyes trying to calculate his first move. We both began to move slowly in a circle.
I attacked him first, and he defended himself, we went back and forth for a while.
He looked laid back and still refined, but I, on the other hand felt quite messy and I was a little short of breath. I tried to attack him again and he dodged skillfully. At that instant, something clicked in me.
My father, mother and other officials were standing before staring at us.
I had to do something. With full determination, I struck one last time, and his sword went flying out of his hand, he looked at me with surprise and I pinned him to the ground mercilessly.
Andrew smiled and took my hand to congratulate me. Then announced it to all the officials, who had come to witness our duel that I had won the duel.
" I'm so proud of you my daughter", mother said as she approached me hand in hand with father. Father just glanced and smiled at me; he was never a man of many words yet I knew him well enough to know he was proud.
.....
"Congratulations princess", Selena greeted me as soon as I entered my room.
I smiled calmly at her, "Thank you for your encouragement Selena, you're my only friend in this castle and all this wouldn't have been possible without you", I said honestly.
"No need to thank me princess, you were very determined to get what you wanted.", she said and smiled.
She was always there for me as long as I can remember and was almost like a second mother to me. "Selena I would like to go out for a while", I told her
"Okay, be careful".
