What is an Adventurer?
They are individuals who receive the blessings of the gods and engage in Dungeon exploration. They are divided by levels; the higher the level, the stronger their abilities.
LV.1 is the most basic level. Adventurers at this level are called Lower-Class Adventurers, and half of all Adventurers in Orario are at this level.
Levels above LV.1 are called Upper-Class Adventurers, with a huge gap from LV.1 Adventurers, requiring sufficient aptitude to cross.
Among Upper-Class Adventurers, there are further subdivisions: Third-Class Adventurers (Lv.2), Second-Class Adventurers (Lv.3-4), and First-Class Adventurers (Lv.5 and above LV.5).
Under normal circumstances, a LV.4 Adventurer is a core member of many Familia and can even serve as a captain.
As one of Orario's 'strongest Familia,' most of Loki's main Adventurers are LV.4 or higher.
Now that she saw Chen Hai instantly defeat the 'phantom' with one blow, she couldn't help but wonder about the true strength of this Dungeon Lord.
In charge of the Dungeon, he must be at least LV.8, right?
No, he must be above LV.8, and even stronger than LV.9.
It should be known that the Empress who died fifteen years ago during the failed expedition against the 'Black Dragon' possessed LV.9 strength.
And the Black Dragon was born from the Dungeon, meaning it was Chen Hai's subordinate... Loki swallowed hard.
She forced a bitter smile and spoke up.
"Little Brother Chen Hai... as the 'Dungeon Lord,' are monsters that leave the Dungeon also within your control?"
"As long as they originate from the Dungeon."
"Then... the Black Dragon too?"
"I'll call it back to play around sometime."
"..."
Loki didn't know how to respond.
Loiman also continuously wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Hestia, who had stopped eating, now understood why Loki mentioned the 'Black Dragon.'
After all, the legend of the Black Dragon was already common knowledge in Orario.
Now that Chen Hai appeared as the 'Dungeon Lord,' it meant he was also the Black Dragon's master.
He was the master of the strongest monster that once destroyed humanity... Hestia couldn't help but take a sip of tea.
"Then, that, I was just saying... if we cooperate with Chen Hai-kun, everything can proceed as usual?"
"Of course, the only things that need to change are the Adventurers' methods and times for exploring the Dungeon."
As the topic returned to normal, Chen Hai also became serious.
He added three points.
"I will not let monsters kill Adventurers, and vice versa."
"The floors and times for each Dungeon exploration will be fixed."
"There will definitely be supporters and opponents then. If they don't intend to accept, I will give them a chance to leave."
After hearing this, Loki became even more interested.
Because Chen Hai, this 'Dungeon Lord,' was not 'some existence' filled with resentment towards the main gods and devoid of reason.
Instead, he was a boss with an intention to cooperate.
"I believe more Adventurers will accept."
Loki had her reasons for saying this.
"Exploring the Dungeon without life-threatening risks, while also having the opportunity to seek treasures and gradually improve one's strength, I believe no one would refuse; by then, the 'Dungeon' would be less an exploration site and more a training ground for improving strength and unearthing treasures."
That wouldn't be a bad thing either.
Regarding this, Chen Hai asked the three people before him,
"What is the reason Adventurers work so hard?"
As soon as he said this, Loiman was the first to answer.
"Profit."
In his eyes, Adventurers were precisely such a group of people.
Exploring the Dungeon, with high risks and high rewards, coupled with the blessings provided by the Familia's main gods, allowed them to continuously grow stronger.
Hestia, however, shook her head.
"I'm not sure, but I think it would be very enjoyable to work hard with companions."
As for Loki... she leaned back in her chair.
"Every Adventurer has different goals. For example, the 'Black Dragon' we just mentioned, Little Brother Chen Hai, do you know about it? Among my Familia, there's a genius Adventurer whose goal is to defeat the Black Dragon and constantly make herself stronger."
Chen Hai, of course, knew.
That person was the Sword Princess from danmachi — Ais Wallenstein.
"Regarding this, I can give her a chance for revenge; I'll summon the Black Dragon then, and if anyone can defeat it, I won't interfere."
"No, no, no."
Loki immediately rejected this proposal.
If the Black Dragon, which killed a LV.9 Adventurer, returned to Orario, who would dare to operate there?
Knock knock knock.
A knock on the door sounded at this moment.
"Who is it?"
Hestia looked towards the door.
Click.
Along with the sound of the door lock opening, Fels, whose black robe was more than half burned, appeared in everyone's view, supported by several staff members.
This 'sage' did not speak, but simply raised the envelope in his right hand towards Chen Hai.
"Please... come... the main god of the Adventurers' Guild..."
"Uranus?"
Loki was the first to react.
Hestia, with a slight frown, murmured,
"It's been a long time since I've seen that old man."
"As expected, then I'll go meet him."
Chen Hai stood up and took the envelope.
Inside was a card that marked a location and also emitted a magical aura.
"Can we go together?"
Hestia also followed, getting up from her seat.
This time, Chen Hai did not agree.
"No, I'm enough on my own. Besides, if that Head God is displeased, I think we'll persuade them in another way."
"Huh?"
Hestia ran in front of Chen Hai.
And the answer to that question was simple.
"Force."
"...!"
This made Hestia's eyes widen.
But Loki found it perfectly reasonable.
With such immense power, how could he allow anything that opposed him to exist in Orario?
Loki recalled the day she and Freya had united to drive the Zeus and Hera Familia out of the city.
The strong possess the ability to define everything.
So... "Uranus, who suppresses the Dungeon, is your biggest enemy, isn't he?"
"It depends on his next answer."
If the God was unconvinced, Chen Hai could accept it.
At that time, the only thing he would have to do was—Godslaying.
