"You are thinking of pulling me close and covering my lips with yours, right?" Lucian cocked an eyebrow and Rowan swallowed hard.
Because Lucian's guess had been very close to what Rowan was thinking.
"You are insufferable," Rowan muttered, his lips twitching as he tried to push down the urge to smile.
"And you are beautiful when you are flustered," Lucian shot back with a grin.
They continued like that; Lucian feeding Rowan bite after bite while making increasingly inappropriate comments that had Rowan alternating between glaring and blushing.
Before either of the duo realized it, the container was empty.
Lucian stared at it with exaggerated shock, his eyes wide open, his hand flying to hold his chest, and he looked at Rowan with mock betrayal.
"You ate all of it," Lucian said, his tone sounding accusatory. "Every single bite. Now what am I supposed to eat? I'm going to starve to death right here in your office."
Rowan's jaw dropped.
