Chapter Three: The Man in Black
Fumei carried breakfast out. Sanz walked up and asked, "Which one is Liu Ly's? I'll take it to her."
Fumei handed Liu Ly's breakfast to Sanz, and he went upstairs. Fumei placed the rest of the breakfast on the table, then looked around—but Yeey and Kaize were nowhere to be seen.
Seeing the bathroom light on in the distance, Fumei walked over, knocked on the door, and asked, "Who's inside?"
Kaize, naked, replied from inside, "I'm helping Yeey take a bath."
Fumei said after hearing that, "Hurry up, or the breakfast will get cold."
Kaize answered, "Okay."
Yeey lay on his special recliner. Kaize squeezed some body wash onto him and began rubbing it all over. Yeey looked at Kaize's abs and said, "Your body is getting sexier and sexier."
Kaize smiled. "Carrying you up and down every day—how could it not get sexy?"
Yeey laughed. "Thank you, Kaize."
Kaize smiled shyly. "No need to thank me."
Kaize began rinsing the soap off Yeey while saying, "Luckily the person you met was me. Otherwise, who knows how many times you'd have been gang-raped by others."
Yeey looked at the ceiling and smiled. Kaize stood up, turned around, and started drying himself. At that moment, Yeey's hands and feet twitched slightly for no reason. Because Kaize had turned away and Yeey had no sensation, neither of them noticed.
Sanz went upstairs and arrived in front of Liu Ly's door. He knocked and said, "I left the breakfast outside. Remember to come out and get it."

Liu Ly shouted loudly, "Go away!"
Sanz pleaded, "Liu Ly, it's all in the past. I like you. Please come out—I'm begging you."
Liu Ly shouted again, "Get lost! Go as far as you can! I never want to see you again in this life!"
Hearing the noise, Fumei came upstairs. After hearing Liu Ly's words, Sanz ran downstairs heartbroken. Yeey and Kaize had just come out of the bathroom when they saw Sanz open the door and leave.
Kaize looked at Fumei, who had just come down, and asked, "What happened to him?"
Fumei shook her head.
June 1
Lijuan was walking down the corridor. When she passed a corner, Gu Qing walked out and bumped into her. Lijuan looked at him. After Gu Qing apologized, he walked away chatting and laughing with Gu Jie, Kaize, and Yeey.
After watching them leave, Lijuan walked past the corner. She walked with her head lowered for a short distance. When she looked up, she suddenly saw a two-meter-tall man dressed in black, wearing a black hood, holding an axe, standing right in front of her. Terrified, Lijuan stepped back several steps. The man in black stared at her for a few seconds, then turned and disappeared into the shadows.
Coming back to her senses, Lijuan ran toward the direction Kaize and Yeey had gone.
Outside the school gate, Chun Lioli noticed that Lijuan hadn't come out for a long time. He picked up the cane from his car and walked into the campus.
Gu Qing reached the restroom, then turned to them and said, "I'm going to use the bathroom. Wait for me outside."
Kaize smiled. "Go ahead."
Gu Qing went inside. Kaize, Gu Jie, and Yeey waited outside.
At that moment, Lijuan ran over in panic. "Something terrible happened!"
Kaize and Yeey immediately frowned.
Soon, Kaize pushed Yeey, and together with Gu Jie, followed behind Lijuan. As they walked, Lijuan explained, "There was a man dressed all in black—very tall—and he had an axe in his hand."
Gu Jie widened his eyes. "Are you serious?"
Lijuan looked at him. "Of course I'm serious!"
Gu Qing washed his hands and walked out of the restroom. He looked around—Kaize, Gu Jie, and Yeey were all gone. He called out, "Hello? Where did you all go?"
As he spoke, he walked toward the previous corner. Suddenly, the man in black rushed out swinging the axe. Before Gu Qing could react, the axe had already chopped into his chest. Gu Qing stared at the man in black in shock. The man pulled out the axe, and Gu Qing collapsed to the ground.
A gunshot came from the distance. The man in black dodged behind a wall. He looked at the person shooting at him—it was Chun Lioli. The man gripped the axe tightly and jumped over the wall. Hearing the noise, Kaize and the others rushed back.
Lioli ran to Gu Qing, pressed on his wound, and said, "Hold on, child."
Lioli looked at the blood pouring out in panic. Lijuan ran over, then stepped back in fear. Seeing Gu Qing lying in a pool of blood, Kaize and Gu Jie hurried over. Lioli looked at Lijuan. "Go call an ambulance, now!"
Lijuan ran toward the office. Gu Jie looked at Gu Qing and said, "Hold on, brother, hold on."
Kaize shook his head. "No… no… you can't die."
Yeey sat helplessly in his wheelchair as Gu Qing coughed up blood and slowly closed his eyes.
June 4
At Gu Qing's funeral, Kaize, Gu Jie, and Gu Jie's parents cried their hearts out. After watching Gu Qing being buried, Kaize hugged Gu Jie while crying, and Gu Jie held him tightly in return.
Through his tear-blurred vision, Kaize seemed to see a man in black standing in the distance. He straightened up, wiped his tears, and looked again—there was no one there.
Kaize's heart was filled with sorrow, anger, and unwillingness.
