Chapter 118 - Shockwaves Across the Starry Expanse — Their World Is Straight Out of a Novel

Planets come in different sizes.

So do star systems.

It was said that even Emanators of a Path could, by destroying a star and forcing it to burn out, ultimately incinerate an entire star system.

Once a star collapses, the planetary system bound to it inevitably follows.

But—

The cybernetic Engine of Creation, enhanced by multiple—no, dozens—of Stellarons and further modified by Bella, had already reached a level where it could hand-forge stars.

If that level of energy detonated within a star system, the result would be instant annihilation.

Erasing a star system would be effortless.

Across the Starry Expanse, all intelligent beings—regardless of which Path they walked—were left utterly dumbfounded.

That cybernetic Engine was already terrifying enough.

Yet an Engine capable of molding stars by hand had just been eliminated instantly by three girls from Teyvat, piloting machines known as Elemental Demon Kings.

The white-haired woman with the icy demeanor had outright frozen a stellar-level attack.

The twin-tailed, cat-eared girl had sliced the Engine apart with flashes of light, reducing it to scrap in mere moments.

If there were a single word to describe them—

It could only be "monsters."

"Are… are those people even human?"

Herta's eyes were wide, round, and unblinking.

Even with her intellect, she could not comprehend the operational principles behind the Elemental Demon Kings.

Throughout the Starry Expanse, mechanized constructs were nothing unusual.

In ancient history, there had even been civilizations that fused living organisms with machinery—starships that could feed, reproduce, and evolve.

But no matter how advanced such technology became, it always relied on structured control systems.

Cockpits.

Control panels.

Interfaces.

Yet inside an Elemental Demon King—

There was nothing.

No levers.

No displays.

No control systems.

The interior was an independent, surreal space.

And somehow, every movement made by the pilot directly became the movement of the machine.

"…Don't tell me," Herta muttered, clutching her head,

"that these things operate purely through the pilot's consciousness?"

"What kind of technology is this?"

What baffled her most was that Elemental Demon Kings weren't manufactured—

They were summoned.

And their power scaled directly with the summoner.

"This makes no sense at all…"

"Magic novels?"

"Summoning arrays?"

Recalling the glowing formation beneath Lumine's feet, Herta felt her vision darken.

"…Don't tell me those mechs are actually summoned by magic."

[After the cybernetic Engine was destroyed]

The three differently colored Demon Kings gathered together in space.

"Is it over?"

The purple Thunder Demon King spoke, Keqing's crisp voice ringing out.

"Yes."

The Light Demon King nodded, Lumine's voice echoing calmly.

"It's been dealt with. I can't sense any other suspicious forces nearby."

"Still… I didn't expect Bella to still be alive."

"We need to report this to Master immediately."

"Is that really necessary?"

The ice-blue Frost Demon King spoke in Shenhe's emotionless tone.

"I think it can wait until Master finishes eating."

"Interrupting his meal would be inappropriate."

Lumine chuckled softly.

"Relax. I already notified Benares."

"This kind of thing is better left to her."

Keqing and Shenhe exchanged a look.

Keqing laughed.

"You're really bold. Aren't you worried Benares will smack you flat with her tail when she wakes up?"

Before the three could continue chatting—

Above Teyvat, space ripped open.

The裂缝 was so vast it dwarfed the planet itself.

From within, a massive white, four-eyed dragon head emerged.

Its body followed, inch by inch.

"Where is Bella?"

The roar shook the void.

"That… that Doomsday Beast is bigger than a planet?!"

March 7th stumbled backward in terror.

The more she retreated, the more Benares seemed to loom closer on the light screen.

Her legs gave out.

She covered her eyes.

Astral Express

Welt adjusted his glasses, wearing an expression of pure disbelief.

Himeko burst out laughing.

He looked nothing like the composed, stern Welt Yang she knew.

"That dragon… is the one from your homeworld?" she asked.

Welt shook his head furiously.

"No. That's impossible."

"She looks identical to Benares, but—"

"She's larger than the planet called Teyvat."

"That defies all logic."

"Whoa!"

Paimon's voice echoed from within the Light Demon King.

"Benares, why did you get that big?!"

"Bella herself didn't come—she only attached her consciousness to a machine!"

"You didn't need to go full planetary scale!"

"And seriously, can you shrink a bit?"

"You're shaking our ears, and if Teyvat's people see you like this, you'll scare the kids!"

At Paimon's complaint, Benares began to shrink rapidly.

Soon, she transformed into a floating少女, standing before the three Demon Kings.

"Come out," she said calmly.

Light shot from the gems on each Demon King's forehead.

Four figures descended, landing before Benares.

"Looks safe now," Lumine said after a quick scan.

With a thought—

The Light Demon King dissolved into radiant brilliance.

The Thunder and Frost Demon Kings followed, dispersing into lightning and frost.

"I can't believe Bella is still alive…" Paimon muttered.

Benares nodded, her expression serious.

"Let's return first."

"We'll decide after hearing Master's judgment."

Elsewhere — Bella's Imaginary Space

Bella sat cross-legged on her bed.

Her consciousness had already traveled far beyond.

Endless spiraling bookshelves stretched into the sky.

Floating midair, Bella searched eagerly.

Her eyes lit up.

"Found it."

"So the big head really did store information on Elemental Demon Kings."

She pulled a book free.

The moment she opened it—

The pages turned into light and shot into her forehead.

Back in her body, she rose and stepped into a vast, empty expanse.

With a thought—

Red-black streaks carved glowing lines through the void.

A massive summoning array formed.

She raised both hands.

A crimson-black beam fired into the array's core.

Dark flames ignited.

The temperature plummeted.

Then—

A colossal shape emerged.

Light engulfed Bella as she was pulled inside.

Her armor changed to crimson.

The construct unfolded.

A dark-red Demon King stood tall.

"…So that's how it works."

Bella inhaled sharply.

"If the End is an authority-type power…"

"Then Demon Kings are a pure manifestation of personal strength."

"They scale to the user."

She clenched her fist.

The Demon King mirrored the motion.

"…Damn."

"It amplifies power based on size difference?"

"No wonder they can casually freeze stars."

"A Valkyrie with planet-busting strength, riding a Demon King…"

"Destroying stars would be trivial."

She exhaled.

"Good thing I didn't go to Teyvat myself."

"Personalized mechs…?"

Firefly whispered, stunned.

As SAM's pilot, she understood mechs better than anyone.

Mechs had fixed performance ceilings.

But these?

"Wait…" she turned stiffly to Silver Wolf.

"How did Bella say their power is calculated?"

"…By size ratio," Silver Wolf replied blankly.

"If the Demon King is a hundred times larger than the summoner…"

"Then the output is multiplied a hundredfold."

"And they're summoned from nothing."

"I don't get it either."

Blade stayed silent.

Kafka stayed silent.

The room fell deathly quiet.

They all opened the chat.

It was already chaos.

Boot Hill: "What the hell?! She said Teyvat's Valkyries can casually destroy stars?!"

Herta: "What kind of world summons combat armor with sheer willpower?!"

Ruan Mei: "This is beyond any known research framework."

Jing Yuan: "An astonishing world."

March 7th: "Himeko… are they from a novel?"

Himeko: "…I have no idea."

Herta: "Even my Simulated Universe can't run this kind of logic."

Asta: "Our starships would look like scrap metal to them…"

Topaz: "Your world isn't actually this insane, right?"

Lumine: "..."

Paimon: "They seem really shocked."

Eula: "If needed, I can summon one live."

Furina: "Leave it to me~"

Xianyun: "Bella can rewrite causality—are Demon Kings really that surprising?"
