Chapter 1 - chapter 1

After discovering the Omni Gem, Professor Emeka began spending most of his time locked away in his laboratory. Day and night, he worked in secret, barely sleeping, barely eating.

Selina, his assistant, watched him closely as sparks of light reflected in his tired eyes.

"Sir, you need to rest," she said worriedly. "You're going to burn yourself out."

Professor Emeka didn't look away from the gem.

"This gem," he said softly, almost in awe, "it's going to change everything. Behold… the power of omnipotence."

Selina hesitated. "Do you really believe this gem is that powerful?"

"Selina," he replied, finally turning to her, "remember when I told you this gem fell from space? There has to be a story behind it. And I intend to uncover it."

She crossed her arms, concerned. "But professor… you've been spending days and nights with this gem. You don't attend meetings anymore. You've even forgotten about the N.G.A — the Nigeria Guard Association."

"I know," he said quietly. "But I still need more knowledge about this gem. I'm sure everyone will understand… eventually."

Suddenly, his phone rang.

Professor Emeka answered the call.

As he listened, his expression changed. His hands trembled. Tears slowly rolled down his face.

"Sir?" Selina asked anxiously. "What happened? Who was calling?"

Without saying a word, Professor Emeka rushed out of the lab, jumped into his car, and sped toward the hospital.

---

When he arrived, the sight before him shattered his heart.

His daughter lay motionless on a hospital bed.

A doctor walked in and lowered his head.

"She's dead. We're very sorry for your loss."

Professor Emeka's knees almost gave out. Tears streamed down his face.

"What… what happened to her?" he whispered.

"She was hit by a car."

Professor Emeka collapsed beside the bed and held his daughter tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.

---

Without thinking, blinded by grief, he ordered that his daughter's body be transferred to his laboratory.

Not long after, her lifeless body lay inside a glass tub, wires and machines connected all around her. Scientists stood silently, uneasy but obedient.

Selina stepped forward. "Sir… what do you plan to do?"

"I'm going to bring her back," Professor Emeka said firmly. "Using the gem."

Selina's eyes widened. "What?! Sir… do you really think a gem can bring back the dead?"

"I don't know," he admitted. "But I'm going to try."

The machines were powered on, and the Omni Gem was connected to the system.

Selina checked the monitors.

"Sir, the temperature is dropping fast. Neural connection is almost offline. If we push further, we risk a full system collapse!"

"No," Professor Emeka said sharply. "Continue. Align frequency to 0.5."

They increased the frequency.

Suddenly, the Omni Gem began blinking red. The liquid inside the tub turned crimson, and with a loud crack, the tub shattered.

To everyone's shock, a young girl with mint-green hair floated into the air.

Professor Emeka stepped forward slowly, his voice shaking.

"Angel… is that you?"

The girl's eyes glowed unnaturally.

"My name is Haira," she said coldly. "And you shall bow to me."

Security rushed into the lab after hearing the explosion.

Haira stretched out her hand.

In an instant, the guards were thrown back violently, blood spilling as they hit the ground.

Terrified, Professor Emeka turned to the scientists.

"Do as she says," he ordered.

They all bowed.

Haira walked calmly toward the Omni Gem lying on the floor and picked it up.

"You know too much about the Omni Gem," she said. "I shall kill you all."

Suddenly, the gem released an overwhelming surge of energy.

In a flash of light, Haira vanished.

The Omni Gem fell to the ground.

Professor Emeka ran forward and picked it up, clutching it tightly.

"No one speaks of this," he said firmly to the scientists. "To anyone."

The lab fell into silence.
