Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Lovely Ghostwriter

Nen Ability: Lovely Ghostwriter

 Type: Specialist

Condition: By providing a name, date of birth, and blood type, the user can write a poem on paper that predicts future events for the target.

This ability should have disappeared from Chrollo's book after the death of its original owner, Neon Nostrade. However, thanks to Chrollo's careful intervention in the Hunter world—ensuring Neon stayed alive—the ability remained perfectly preserved.

"The usual drill," Chrollo said, handing a slip of paper to each member. "Write down your info, and I'll do the readings."

The members were well-acquainted with the routine. They silently took the slips, filled them out, and handed them back. As Chrollo took each one, his right hand—shrouded by that tiny purple demon—began to move on its own. The pen scratched across the paper, leaving behind cryptic, symbolic verses.

The reactions were classic Troupe:

Uvogin frowned, clearly not getting the metaphors but thinking it looked cool anyway.

Nobunaga studied his with sharp, narrowing eyes.

Machi folded hers up without a word.

 Pakunoda lapsed into deep thought.

Finally, Chrollo did a reading for himself.

---

When the ability deactivated and the demon vanished, Chrollo looked down at his own slip:

The grand requiem has been silenced; the Spiders behold a variable born of the blue planet.

Under the new moon, stolen wings shall draw the scent of molten rock and golden light; beware the magician clown.

The price of twelve shadows shall be judged by a flock of pigeons. The secret fruit of the abyss marks the start of the Crazed Folly; scattered travelers will ignite the Great Chaos. Remember... do not covet the sleeping weapon.

At the top of the world, the Void Throne finally cracks. The heirs of gods shall wail beneath the web.

At the start, head East. You will find the one waiting for you. Seek the helmsman of the sail-less boat and the scholar of history. Only by gathering the lost limbs can you reach the ultimate end.

---

Chrollo squinted, dissecting it word by word.

The first line was clear: the "variable" was him. His transmigration had stopped the mass casualties the Troupe was "supposed" to suffer in the original story.

"New Moon" likely meant a specific time. "Stolen wings" could mean a new member or a fruit they were about to steal. "Molten rock and golden light"? That had to be Akainu and Kizaru.

But the "magician clown"? Chrollo's eyes darkened.

In the Hunter world, Chrollo had been unstoppable because he knew the plot. He stopped the massacre of the Kurta Clan, preventing the birth of the vengeful Kurapika. He killed the Ant King with a "Poor Man's Rose" early on to protect Meteor City. He even got Meteor City recognized as an independent nation.

But he never managed to kill Hisoka.

Like Gon, Hisoka seemed to have the "protagonist's luck"—always slipping through death's fingers. If Chrollo was here, Hisoka was likely lurking in some corner of this world, too, flicking his tongue like a venomous snake.

Talk about a headache, Chrollo thought, moving to the next part.

"Twelve shadows" were the Spiders. "Pigeons" were the Navy—their actions would soon lead to massive bounties. "Void Throne" and "Heirs of Gods" were obviously Imu and the Celestial Dragons. As residents of Meteor City who despised hierarchy, a clash with them was inevitable.

As for the last part...

"East. The helmsman and the scholar."

Chrollo knew exactly who those were: Nami and Robin. To him, the most important people in the Straw Hat crew weren't Luffy or Zoro—it was the navigator who could tame the sea and the archaeologist who could read Poneglyphs. They were the true treasures.

"Sorry, Monkey D. Luffy," Chrollo thought without a shred of remorse. "I'll be taking your crew members."

---

Chrollo stood up from his lounge chair, his tall silhouette framed by the sun. He turned to his eleven members.

"We're going... East."

"Yeah! East!" Uvogin roared, pumping his fist. Then, a look of utter confusion washed over his face. He nudged Nobunaga, who was napping with his sword. "Hey, Nobunaga. Which way is East?"

Nobunaga didn't even open an eye. He just snorted. "Moron. How should I know?"

Uvogin didn't give up. He turned to Machi. "Machi, you know, right?"

Machi's beautiful face remained expressionless as she looked away. "Idiot."

Uvogin looked at Franklin, Shizuku, Pakunoda... everyone suddenly found something very interesting to look at in the clouds or the wood grain of the deck.

"..."

Chrollo watched this, feeling a wave of speechless frustration. He had forgotten one tiny detail: in every direction, the blue ocean looked exactly the same. All their navigation tech from the Hunter world had fried the moment they crossed over.

Wait... which way IS East?
