After arriving where I left Asta, Yuno sat down across from him.
"Yuno, eat whatever you want," Asta said to Yuno as he took a bite of one of the boar skewers.
"You don't have to remind me," Yuno replied.
I sat down on the other side, forming a triangle between the three of us.
I grabbed one of the skewers from the fire.
Upon tasting it, I realized its flavor was quite ordinary.
After all, I'm not someone who focuses much on taste.
As long as it's edible, I can eat it without hesitation.
Time passed, and Asta and Yuno ate most of the meat.
I only ate three skewers.
This wasn't enough to fill my stomach.
But that wasn't a problem.
"Yuno, when you've finished digesting the food, cast your wind magic on me."
Yes, I'm planning to eat Yuno's magic.
With my Dragon Slayer physique, I need to eat more than ordinary people.
But since resources are scarce in Hage Village, I'm left with only two options: eating air magic or Yuno's.
Although eating air magic fills my stomach faster, Yuno's magic has a different flavor that's hard to describe.
And for some reason, every time I eat a certain amount of Yuno's magic, my mana quality improves a little.
It must be because of the elf soul that Yuno possesses.
I have to seize the opportunity when I can.
Now that I think about it, Dragon Slayers can digest magic of other attributes with some difficulty, like Natsu when he ate Laxus's lightning magic.
Maybe I should absorb someone's fire attribute.
I can already imagine myself using the Roar of the Fire Dragon King.
What an exciting image.
3 hours later.
At the back of Hage's church.
Asta lies on the ground like a dead man.
"Asta, you're alive," Recca says, tapping Asta's legs with a stick.
"Yeah, I'm still alive," Asta's miserable voice is heard.
"Poor Asta, Wendy is really tough with the training," Recca's worried voice echoes from the courtyard.
"Don't worry, Recca, Asta is tougher than you think," Wendy replies nonchalantly to the concerned Recca.
"If you say so."
"Oh, hello beautiful Lily, what brings you here?" Wendy's surprised voice startles Asta.
With an energetic leap, Asta gets up from the ground and shouts at the top of his lungs.
"Sister Lily, I'm training very hard to become the Wizard King, so please marry me."
Seconds passed, and there was no response from Asta.
"Haaa, finally Sister Lily is considering being my wife!" Asta's hopeful voice created a unique atmosphere.
"Pfft," a small laugh shattered Asta's illusion.
"Hahahaha, Asta, you're so easy to fool when it comes to Sister Lily!" Wendy laughed uncontrollably at the little joke she played on Asta.
"Asta, you'd better take that blindfold off your face," Recca commented with resignation in her voice.
Quickly, Asta raised his hand to his eyes and lowered the blindfold.
With the blindfold off, Asta saw the light again.
When he focused his gaze, he only saw Wendy and Recca in front of him, and no sign of Sister Lily.
"HAAAAA, Wendy, you cheated on me with Sister Lily!" Asta yells.
"See, Recca? Asta is quite resilient and has incredible stamina," Wendy tells little Recca, ignoring Asta who's complaining in the background.
"I can see that," Recca replies.
Recca knew, and in fact, the entire village of Hage knew, that Asta proposed to Sister Lily every time he saw her.
But she never imagined that just mentioning Sister Lily could have such a reaction from Asta.
A few moments later, Yuno approaches.
"Hey, Wendy, Sister Lily and Father asked me to tell you to go to the village and buy some nails to fix our bedroom door," Yuno says, handing me a small bag of money.
"Sigh, who told me I'd be scared by a nightmare this morning and unconsciously use magic?" I say as I take the money from Yuno's hands.
"Asta, take a bath. You're dirty from training. Sister Lily might dislike you if you're dirty," I joked with Asta to try and lift my spirits.
"That can't be! Sister Lily would never dislike me!" Asta shouted, rejecting my words, and ran to take a shower.
Asta knew Wendy was just joking.
After all, even though Sister Lily never said so, she left the church in the royal capital because of the discrimination and classism of the nobles, since she wanted everyone to be equal.
Besides, Sister Lily had never shown dislike for anything or anyone.
I ran at full speed toward Hage Village.
I'll have to fix the door. I have plenty of time since no one has broken anything at the church.
When I arrived in the village, I headed to the village blacksmith's house.
"Good afternoon," I say as I enter the front of the store.
"Oh, it's little Wendy. Tell me how I can help you," said a bearded man of about 40.
"I came to buy some nails."
"How many nails do you need this time?" asked the blacksmith.
"I need about 75 nails," I said in my normal tone of voice, without much emotion.
After all, when I'm doing something I'm not very interested in, I do things automatically and without much feeling.
"Here you are, Wendy," said the blacksmith with a smile, as he placed a small pouch on the counter.
"Thank you," I said as I took the pouch and handed him the money.
"Have a good rest of the day," I said as I said goodbye.
"Be careful on the way, too."
I ran more slowly into the village so as not to disturb the villagers.
As I ran through the village, I felt a small twinge in my stomach, but I didn't pay any attention to it.
As I leave the village, I increase my speed to get to the church faster.
As I open the back door of the church, a scent of blood reaches my nose.
As a Dragon Hunter, I have a very keen sense of smell.
When I stop to investigate the scent, a sharp pain hits my lower abdomen.
Looking down, I see drops of blood falling from my groin.
I instinctively lift the skirt I rarely wear and see the blood trickling from my groin down my legs.
At that moment, Wendy's eyes lost all their brightness and became lifeless, like the eyes of a dead fish.
Mechanically, I turn around and head to the other side of the church where Sister Lily is hanging up the laundry.
Sister Lily hears my footsteps and turns to look at me.
"Wendy, you're back already. That was pretty quick. Asta and Yuno haven't even finished showering yet," Sister Lily said cheerfully with a smile, oblivious to the blood.
With blank eyes, I stared at Sister Lily without saying a word.
"Is something wrong?" Sister Lily asked curiously.
I simply raised my hand and pointed to the area beneath my feet.
"Um?" Sister Lily looked at the floor, confused, noticing blood trickling from my groin.
Sister Lily gasped in astonishment, covering her mouth with her hands.
"Wendy, this is your first period."
And just like that, all of Wendy's hopes flew out the window.
Tears began to stream down Wendy's face.

Good afternoon, my dear readers.
The reason I stopped uploading chapters is that I entered a state of creative block.
The reason is quite simple: I started watching all the Black Clover chapters, and I'm still watching them.
And the main reason for my creative block was a Korean novel called "Just Because I Have Narrow Eyes Doesn't Make Me a Villain!"
For me, the story is quite original because it's the first one I've read with such an interesting plot.
It was all very entertaining: a man is reincarnated as a woman and can talk to the author of the novel.
The reincarnated person, whom I'll call the reader, sees the world as a simple theater stage and humans as puppets controlled by the author.
The reason for having this worldview is that the author can modify the world at will.
After the reader created a four-person villain organization to protect the protagonist on the author's orders, many people were killed, and the reader began to doubt whether the puppets were real humans or just puppets.
The author then created a scenario where the protagonist couldn't survive and would lose without landing a single blow.
The reader arrived at the moment when the protagonist landed a blow on the villain boss.
At that moment, the reader considered the protagonist the only human in this world besides themselves and became obsessed with observing them.
After some time, the protagonist of the world told the reader that he knew they were a villain and that he had overheard them talking to the author, whom the protagonist believed was the reader's information broker.
At that moment, the reader entered a state of denial and extreme fear that the author would decide against them because the protagonist had discovered their secret.
The reader couldn't sleep, and if the protagonist wasn't in their line of sight, they would enter a state of anxiety and fear because they believed that, as the protagonist was the only person the author couldn't control, as long as they were by their side, the author couldn't kill them.
This seemed suspicious to me, so I decided to read the last three chapters of the story before continuing, and I was incredibly surprised.
The reader married the protagonist, and they had two children.
The shock of learning that the story would shift from one where the reader helped the author create a story, to the reader giving birth to the protagonist's child, then to a wedding, and then to the reader already carrying their second child, was an emotional blow that left me feeling empty and adrift.
Tell me what you think of my story.
