The next thing I saw was light, but instead of being dead, I was looking up, and at two people. My parents. That's not possible; they died! I tried to talk, but all that came out was baby babbling.
"Sweet baby Gia," my mom said, tears in her eyes, smiling down at me. "Our perfect girl."
Baby? But I was just dead! How?
"..." My dad was silent as always. He looked down at me, his eyes glossy, ears a little red, gently petting my head. He doesn't speak much, but he always shows he loves me with these simple actions. I wanted to cry. How was this possible? Then I observed their clothes; they dressed like nobles. Wait... no. No, that's not possible. Iseki doesn't happen unless this world is. May I ask one last thing? Little whimpers came from my small body. I received a second chance with my parents again. I could do right by them this time.
My parents held me and coddled me. Little me began to cry. I was happy that I could start over. Symbols appeared in front of me: a watch, a flame, a snowflake, a rock, and water drops. My parents didn't seem to notice. I pointed my tiny hand the best I could at the snowflake, and the symbols vanished. I assume those were elements I could use.
The few years that followed, I grew up, studied, and did everything I could to make my parents proud until I was about ten. My parents brought me to an event. And there I met Scarlet as a young girl. My favourite character in this plot!
"Mom," I tugged her hand.
"Yes, honey?" she asked.
"Can I go make friends?" I asked her.
"Yes," she agreed. "Just be careful with that temper, remember?"
"I will!" I said before running off to talk to Scarlet.
"Oh, hello." Scarlet greeted me.
"Hello!" I smiled. "I'm Gia Daulton."
"Scarlet-"
"El Vandiminion," I finished her sentence. "I know."
"So why are you here?" she asked, confused.
"Because," I smiled, "I want to be friends!"
