Chapter 152 - Chapter 153 Night Raid on the Imperial Palace

Leone left the capital and, under the cover of night, headed north, eventually arriving at a mountain forest.

Continuing along the mountain path, the familiar base soon came into view.

  "Leone, you're back."

Najenda looked up at Leone, who reeked of alcohol, a hint of helplessness on her face: "Leone, why did you drink so much again!"

Leone grinned: "I met a new friend today, and he treated me to some really good drinks for free, a rare opportunity!"

  Najenda didn't say anything more.

She knew that although Leone was carefree, he rarely let her down.

Leone looked around: "Boss, where's Akame?"

"Akame? Probably in the kitchen!" Najenda said.

Just then, a girl with long black hair, crimson eyes, and delicate features walked over, carrying a large piece of meat.

  "Leone, you're back!"

Leone hugged Akame tightly, grinning, "Hehehe, Akame!"

Akame pushed her face away, "You smell strongly of alcohol!"

  "Hmm~"

Leone rubbed her face against Akame's, saying, "Akaame, today I met a girl named Kurome!"

  "Kurome?"

  Akame's expression changed slightly.

Najenda also looked at Leone. As the one who invited Akame to join the Revolutionary Army, she knew Akame's background very well.

Moreover, Kurome wasn't just Akame's sister.

Leone's expression became serious: "She was a girl of about fifteen or sixteen, with short black hair, a slender figure, and looked very similar to you, Akame. She was carrying a knife and had a dangerous aura about her."

  "It really was Kurome."

Akame was silent for a moment: "Kuroto returned to the capital. I wonder what for? A new mission?"

Leone said, "By the way, Kurohime was with a man named Aoki. They seemed very close.

Hehehe, Aoki is an ordinary person, but very generous."

"Aoki?" Akame thought for a moment and shook her head: "Never heard of him."

Najenda asked suspiciously, "Generous? Leone, the new friend you just mentioned who treated you to drinks, could it be that man named Aoki?"

Leone said, "That's right, but boss, this time I'm not here for drinks, I'm mainly here to gather intelligence!"

Najenda asked, "Are you sure that Aoki is an ordinary person? Kurohime is a member of the Imperial Assassin Squad. Would someone who's with her and is so close be an ordinary person?"

Leone nodded: "Anyway, I didn't sense any danger from Aoki, and I didn't notice anything unusual when I interacted with him."

Akame looked out the window, her crimson pupils shimmering, and murmured, "Kuroto!"

  At the same time.

Kurohime stood by the window, gazing at the bright moon outside, and whispered, "What is my sister doing right now?"

Aoki sat on the bed. "She's probably eating meat."

Kurohime turned around. "At this hour, she should have already eaten dinner

, right?" "Can't I eat meat after dinner?"

  Kurohime smiled, pursing her lips.

Others might be too full, but her sister definitely could.

"By the way, that woman just now, she wasn't an ordinary person, was she?"

Aoki said. "She's a Teigu user!"

  "As expected, a Teigu user!"

  Kurohime nodded gently .

There were only forty-eight Teigu in total, and some were already lost; the probability of encountering a Teigu user was extremely small.

"And she's a member of Night Raid!" Aoki added.

Kurohime paused for a moment before realizing.

"Night Raid? Isn't that the organization my sister belongs to?"

  Aoki nodded. "Yes."

  Kurohime took a breath.

  "So she's my sister's comrade,"

Aoki said. "She should have already told Akame about us; perhaps you'll see my sister soon."

Kuroko's face lit up with anticipation.

This day had come much sooner than she had imagined.

Her sister would be so surprised to see her, wouldn't she?

Aoki glanced out the window, then stood up and said,

"It's almost time. I should get going. If anything happens, use the spatial imprint I gave you."

  "Be careful!"

  Kuroko warned.

She knew what Aoki was planning to do.

  It was crazy.

But with Aoki's strength, he shouldn't encounter any danger.

  "Don't worry!"

Aoki nodded to her, looked outside, and suddenly appeared a hundred meters in the air.

  Whoosh!

Huge bat wings unfurled, and under the cover of night, Aoki transformed into a black shadow, flying swiftly towards the palace.

"I remember the activation device for the Supreme Throne is at the highest point of the palace,"

Aoki said, gazing into the distance.

With his excellent eyesight and powerful dark vision, he spotted the towering palace at a glance.

It wasn't just the highest point of the palace, but the highest point of the entire capital.

Of course, the Supreme Throne wasn't inside.

The Supreme Throne was over two hundred meters high, too high for any room to contain.

But Aoki still decided to investigate.

Since it was the activation point, there must be some connection, right?

Perhaps he could find the Supreme Throne directly through the activation location.

He sped along without encountering any accidents and smoothly arrived above the palace.

The palace grounds were vast, with numerous palaces, and he couldn't discern the purpose of each one.

However, the highest palace was quite conspicuous.

After observing for a while, Aoki flapped his wings and swooped down.

But before he could get close,

two dark figures suddenly rushed up from below, one resembling a giant eagle, the other a Western dragon, both over ten meters long, radiating a powerful aura.

  "Dangerous Species?"

  Aoki stopped.

He vaguely remembered that the Empire did indeed possess Imperial Arms for controlling Dangerous Species.

  More than two.

There seemed to be even more Dangerous Species stirring below.

No need to waste time with them.

Aoki glanced up, his figure flashed, and he vanished instantly.

The two Dangerous Species immediately showed bewildered expressions, circled in the sky for a while, and slowly returned to the palace.

  In the sky...

Aoki watched this scene from afar, his gaze shifting to the palace.

The palace doors were tightly shut, without windows, and four guards stood watch outside; even he couldn't enter silently.

"Looks like I'll have to force my way in!"

Aoki smiled, his body transforming in an instant into a handsome young man with a pale face, crimson eyes, and a finely tailored shirt.

After becoming the Demon King, he gained an ability useless in combat but incredibly useful in the human world: perfect mimicry.

While not as powerful as Chelsea's Gaia Foundation, it was sufficient.

Aoki's figure flashed, arriving at the palace entrance.

The surrounding guards froze, their expressions changing drastically.
