Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Plans cannot keep up with changes, Liverpool takes the first step!

Fabregas seemed to see the confusion in Fly's heart and took the initiative to explain:

"Our matches against Liverpool are always like this. Liverpool always press aggressively at the start."

"But don't worry, Liverpool can't maintain this style for long. Their players usually don't have much stamina left by the second half."

"When that time comes, we'll exert pressure, and we can finish the match."

"Just hold on through this period, and everything will be fine."

Hearing Fabregas's explanation, Fly's eyes lit up.

He had to admit, that logic was spot on!

Liverpool's style of play always seemed to be like that of a young calf, charging wildly as long as they had the energy.

This style of play was indeed very effective against some technical teams.

After all, using frequent physical collisions to disrupt the rhythm of a technical team and force them into a close-quarters battle with Liverpool was absolutely a brilliant strategy!

The 25th minute of the match.

After enduring Liverpool's 20 minutes of initial, dog-like intensity.

As Liverpool players' stamina dropped, Arsenal gradually gained control of the match.

After several midfield football transfers, Wilshere suddenly threaded a through ball to Sagna, who had pushed up on the right.

Sagna received the ball and carried it towards the byline, then created space and delivered a cross to Arshavin and Chamakh in the center.

Unfortunately, the ball was ultimately cleared by Skrtel.

But just as the ball was cleared, Nasri met it with a volley.

The ball ultimately went slightly over the crossbar and flew into the stands.

Nasri's shot nearly gave Liverpool goalkeeper Reina a scare.

Fly, watching from the bench, was also excited by Nasri's shot.

If he remembered correctly, this season was the year Nasri was Arsenal's main man.

He even won the 2010 France Footballer of the Year award for his outstanding performance this year.

Although Nasri would transfer to Manchester City next year due to Manchester City's financial offensive.

But this season, Nasri's performance was absolutely outstanding!

Thinking of this, Fly wondered if he could convince his father to offer Nasri a high-salary contract extension.

After all, for a midfielder in his prime, if he could stay at Arsenal and continue to be used, why let him go to Manchester City?

Fly clearly remembered that in his first year at Manchester City, Nasri helped Manchester City win their first Premier League title in club history.

How could Fly allow such a powerful helper to go to an enemy?

The 38th minute of the match.

Nasri got another chance, facing Arshavin's cross from the edge of the box.

Nasri received the ball, made several feints, evaded Carragher's defense, and took another shot.

The ball ultimately hit the right post and went out for a goal kick.

Seeing this, Nasri couldn't help but sigh upwards, what a pity.

The 41st minute of the match.

Wilshere tackled Joe Cole to the ground in a challenge.

The Main Referee quickly gave him a yellow card.

But Joe Cole was angered by Wilshere's foul.

In the following 3 minutes, specifically the 44th minute of the match.

As soon as Wilshere received the ball, he came from behind with a move similar to a flying kick.

This action immediately ignited the whole stadium, causing Liverpool players and Arsenal players to crowd together.

The Main Referee blew his whistle frantically and quickly pushed everyone apart, then gave the instigator, Joe Cole, a red card and sent him off the field immediately.

Seeing this, Fly felt reassured, it's stable!

Liverpool were down a man before halftime, how could they play now?

If Arsenal still couldn't win this, Fly would truly be speechless.

The halftime whistle blew, and the Arsenal and Liverpool players entered the player tunnel separately.

On the way back to the locker rooms, players from both sides were still shoving each other.

If it weren't for the assistant referees maintaining order, it's likely the two sides would have had an "off-field match" in the player tunnel.

Back in the locker room.

Arsène Wenger didn't specifically mention the few mistakes in the first half, but focused on encouragement.

He also reminded everyone that the opponent was playing with one less player, telling them to relax and that they could surely win if they played normally!

The 15-minute halftime break passed in a flash.

After the second half began.

Arsenal had originally planned to slowly wear down Liverpool according to their plan, after all, they were playing 11 against 10, with one extra player.

Plus, Liverpool's "mad dog" style of play would definitely cause them stamina problems.

Arsenal's original plan was to control the match until the 65th minute.

Then they would start pushing and win the match directly in the final 30 minutes!

But as the saying goes, plans can't keep up with changes!

Who would have thought that right at the start of the second half, Arsenal played with fire in their own half, directly leading to Liverpool scoring a lightning-fast goal.

The 46th minute of the match.

As Diaby passed back, Mascherano suddenly intercepted the ball, and Mascherano immediately kicked the ball between Arsenal's two defenders who hadn't yet closed the gap.

NGog received the ball and, facing the advancing Almunia, did not miss the opportunity this time, scoring with a low shot.

"GOOOOOOOOOAL!!!"

"Number 24, NGog!!!"

"Although they were reduced to ten men near the end of the first half, Liverpool did not give up."

"Just 1 minute into the second half, Liverpool seized on an Arsenal player's mistake and scored first!"

"Now the pressure is on Arsenal. What adjustments will Arsène make in this situation?"

"Let's wait and see!"

Conceding a goal right at the start of the second half was clearly not in Arsène Wenger's plan.

Although very surprised, Arsène Wenger still pressed his hands down, signaling "Don't panic, hold your shape."

Diaby was very regretful about his simple mistake, and Wilshere quickly comforted him.

After the restart, Arsenal wanted to take advantage of the moment when Liverpool might be psychologically relaxed after just scoring.

To see if they could equalize quickly!

But unfortunately, Liverpool did not give Arsenal this opportunity.

Reminded by Gerrard, the Liverpool players did not relax.

After realizing they couldn't equalize quickly, Arsenal resumed their passing and control, preparing to regain control of the tempo.

The 55th minute of the match.

After a series of passes in the final third, the ball came to Wilshere's feet.

Wilshere took a long shot from the edge of the box, and the ball was bravely saved by Reina!

As time passed, the Arsenal players visibly began to get impatient.

At this point, Arsène Wenger finally made his first substitution.
