Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: That is the place where Firefly and I have always lived, our shared paradise.

"Greetings, you two. I am the Silvermane Guard Captain of Belobog, Gepard Landau."

Clara and Firefly didn't have to wait long. Soon, the guard returned with a tall, armored blond man.

Clara knew Gepard. Knew him all too well.

Just thinking of Gepard made Clara recall the time she pulled three copies of [Moment of Victory] in a row from the standard banner. On the very day the third one dropped, she hit that 25% chance on the weapon banner and got yet another [Moment of Victory], gleefully raising its Superimposition level to four.

Whenever she remembered that incident, Clara felt the overwhelming urge to smash her computer.

'That's right, it's this author! A Superimposition Rank 4 [Moment of Victory]—truly something to cherish.'

"Hello, I'm Clara, and this is Firefly," Clara said, offering a brief introduction to the Gepard before them.

"Mmm..."

"To use your terms, we come from the Ice-Snow Castle within the Eternal Freeze."

"The Frost Fortress is where we live. It's our paradise."

"The Ice-Snow Castle... within the Eternal Freeze..." Gepard was somewhat shocked by Clara's words. He lowered his head, thinking for a moment.

Then he spoke, voicing a doubt:

"It's not that I don't believe you two. It's just that, coming from within the Eternal Freeze, it's rather hard for me, for us, and indeed for all the people of Belobog to accept."

"After all, since the Eternal Freeze appeared, no one has ever entered it and come out alive. Let alone the idea of you two living within it..."

"So, I must ask you to provide some proof, something that can convince us."

"Proof..." Clara pondered.

"There are no records of us in Belobog. I don't know if you keep track of the population in the Underworld, but even there, we wouldn't exist."

"We've grown to this age, yet this is the first time we've appeared in the sight of Belobog's citizens."

"Doesn't that prove something in itself?"

"Indeed..." Gepard nodded at Clara's words. She wasn't wrong. With Clara and Firefly's appearances, if they had grown up in Belobog, it would be impossible for this to be their first appearance before the citizens.

Then, as if remembering something, Gepard fell into thought for a moment before continuing his questions:

"It's said that long ago, visitors from the stars often came here."

"So, I have reason to suspect you might be such visitors from beyond."

"Don't you think that's even more far-fetched?" Hearing this, Clara looked at Gepard with some exasperation.

Although Gepard had guessed correctly, as long as she didn't admit it, what did it matter if he was right?

Just as Clara expected, Gepard nodded again. 'Long ago' was an uncertain time, and 'it's said' was just hearsay, not necessarily truth.

"If you really can't believe us, I can take you to our castle."

"That is the place where Firefly and I have always lived, our shared paradise... I think that could prove we've always lived there."

"No, that won't be necessary." Upon hearing this, Gepard had already affirmed their identities. Now that he was sure, there was no need to dwell on it further.

"I believe you."

Having confirmed their identities, Gepard felt a surge of excitement.

If the problem of the Eternal Freeze could be solved, it would be an epoch-making boon for all of Belobog.

"You two, welcome to Belobog. On behalf of the Architects and all the people of Belobog, I welcome your arrival!"

Gepard straightened his posture and performed a very standard salute to Clara and Firefly, welcoming them.

Seeing this, the Silvermane Guards behind him also saluted, welcoming Clara and Firefly.

In response, Clara offered a slight smile.

"You two, the Supreme Guardian of Belobog has been informed of your arrival and has been awaiting you."

"Allow me to escort you to an audience with the Supreme Guardian."

"Alrighty then~" Clara hummed lightly in agreement.

...

Meanwhile, elsewhere, in the Underworld.

"Achoo~!"

A blue-haired man suddenly sneezed.

"Strange..."

After sneezing, the blue-haired man felt puzzled.

"What's with this sudden, inexplicable sense of foreboding in my heart?"

"Maybe I've been too tired lately?"

The blue-haired man lowered his head, hand propping his chin, and arrived at this conclusion.

"That must be it."

He nodded, agreeing with his own thought.

"I'll take a good rest after finishing this matter..."
