DIO's Arrow—and the Beetle Arrow.
The former needed no explanation.
The latter, however, was special.
Among all the arrows capable of awakening Stands, the Beetle Arrow was the most unique. Not only did it possess a one-of-a-kind design—unlike the other arrows, which differed in effect but looked identical—but more importantly…
The Beetle Arrow could force a Stand to evolve again.
And this evolution came with no conditions attached.
"Everyone… I hope we meet again someday."
With both arrows and DIO's preserved flesh and blood secured, Borsalino took the initiative to bid farewell to the Stardust Crusaders.
In terms of raw power, the Crusaders were insignificant to him.
But their courage and resolve had earned his respect.
"…Until we meet again."
The Crusaders also let out a subtle sigh of relief.
Though some of them privately suspected that Borsalino was the "Sun God," he had never acknowledged it himself—and they weren't the type to kneel and worship just because someone might be divine.
Parting ways cleanly was the best possible outcome.
As Borsalino's figure faded into the glow of teleportation, the Crusaders became even more convinced of their guess.
Back in the One Piece world, Borsalino glanced at the time.
Less than two minutes had passed since he left.
The difference in time flow between worlds was truly absurd—though unfortunately, his cheat ability had come a little too late.
Otherwise, he could've abused it perfectly.
Lose a fight?
Get seriously injured?
Jump to a world with faster time flow, recover for days—or even train for months—then return to find that only a few seconds have passed.
Fully healed. Stronger than before.
Hang the enemy up and beat them senseless.
What a beautiful dream.
"Well… at least I got a consolation prize. A Stand, huh…"
Borsalino took out the two arrows he'd brought back from the JOJO world.
Awakening a Stand via the arrow carried inherent risks—but given his current strength and physique, the odds of failing were practically nonexistent.
Not to mention his Observation Haki had long since reached the highest level, developing into something close to danger perception. He could instinctively judge how threatening something was to him.
And according to his Observation Haki…
These two arrows were technically dangerous.
But only in theory.
In practice, their threat level was so close to zero that it might as well not exist.
"Then let's give it a try… see how my luck is."
True to his nature, Borsalino didn't hesitate.
After confirming there was no real danger, he gripped DIO's Arrow and pressed it into his palm.
A sharp pain bloomed—
And Borsalino's expression turned slightly strange.
It felt as though his body had suddenly gained a new "organ."
He had never possessed a Stand before, yet information about it surfaced in his mind naturally, as if it had always been there.
Even for someone as well-traveled as Borsalino, this was a novel experience.
He sat back on the sofa, pondered briefly—
And without any visible movement, a shadowy figure appeared behind him.
It looked like a younger version of Borsalino.
Wearing a Marine Admiral's uniform and coat, arms crossed arrogantly, with a faintly childish but utterly defiant expression on his face.
This was his Stand.
And the moment it manifested, Borsalino instantly understood its name and abilities.
Stand Name: Lightning Hero
Its ability was to grant Borsalino a power known as Speed Force.
Like Star Platinum, it could also possess its user, greatly enhancing physical attributes—and its possession ability wasn't even limited to its own Stand user.
That said, this feature meant little to Borsalino.
At his level of combat, the Stand's own fighting power didn't even qualify as icing on the cake.
What truly shocked—and delighted—him…
Was the Speed Force itself.
The Speed Force granted him absolute super-speed.
Even without the Glint-Glint Fruit, Borsalino could now reach—or even exceed—the speed of light through his own body alone.
More importantly, the Speed Force also gave him super-speed cognition.
He no longer had to worry about accidentally flying off into outer space when reaching light speed.
As long as he wished, he could now maintain light-speed movement continuously, with full control.
Before obtaining the Speed Force, this would've been outright unthinkable.
Feeling the Stand's abilities, Borsalino immediately thought of one name—
The Flash, from DC Comics.
Their powers were nearly identical.
In other words, anything the Flash could eventually master, Borsalino could learn as well.
And with the Glint-Glint Fruit on top of that, his potential was even greater.
In the span of a single breath, more than ten ways to combine the Glint-Glint Fruit with the Speed Force flashed through his mind.
And this was only the beginning.
What kind of reactions would occur when two such terrifying powers truly fused?
Even Borsalino found himself eagerly anticipating it.
"…Now for the Beetle Arrow."
He couldn't wait to see what an evolved Stand would look like—what new abilities it might gain.
As the Beetle Arrow pierced his body, countless fine cracks spread across the surface of his Stand.
The cracks expanded—
And boundless light swallowed everything.
Fortunately, only Stand users could perceive this scene.
When the light finally faded, the Stand that reappeared before Borsalino looked as if it had survived a brutal battle.
The Admiral's uniform and coat were gone, leaving only tattered pants.
Its short black hair had turned golden—giving it the distinct vibe of a Super Saiyan mid-battle, clothes blown away.
Stand Evolution: Lightning Hero Requiem
Compared to its base form—
The evolved Stand's ability was astonishingly simple.
It granted Borsalino a power known as the Body of the Sun.
By absorbing solar energy, he could continuously grow stronger—and even awaken entirely new abilities.
In short—
Bask in sunlight, get stronger.
Just like Superman.
Except without a kryptonite weakness.
The evolved Stand could freely revert to its original form.
Taken as a whole, its abilities were nearly flawless.
The power of Superman.
The speed of the Flash.
Plus the Glint-Glint Fruit.
This haul was absurdly profitable.
Even with the lazy, laid-back mindset Borsalino had cultivated over decades, he couldn't help but feel excited to test just how terrifying his new power truly was.
"Hmm… Marineford should be that way…"
After estimating the direction and distance, his body gradually transformed into light and vanished from the spot.
With a Stand, Borsalino finally gained true light-speed travel in the literal sense.
Before this, attempting long-distance light-speed movement was a gamble—one mistake and he'd end up as an accidental astronaut.
Only short-range bursts during combat were safe, relying on Observation Haki to lock onto targets and avoid veering off course.
Now?
That limitation was gone.
