Chapter 1 - Even Today, Her Majesty the Goddess Is Busy Nonstop Over Reincarnated Heroes

Chapter 1: The Busy Goddess and the Reluctant Reincarnated Candidates (Sanctuary Edition)

Deep within the sanctuary, the light never faded.

Towering columns surrounded the central hall, and the floor was etched with constantly running divine sigils, as if the pulse of the entire world converged here.

The Goddess sat upon her throne, layers of radiant arrays unfolding behind her.

She neither closed her eyes in meditation nor received any prayers.

At this moment, she was commanding.

"Report."

Beneath the throne, several angels quickly activated luminous screens.

The displays showed real-time situations from different worlds.

"The seventh world line: Demon forces confirmed intervening."

"The third dimension: Three Demon Lord-class entities appearing simultaneously."

"World stability declining."

Report after report came without pause.

The Goddess raised her hand, and the divine sigils shifted accordingly.

"…Here we go again."

This time, it wasn't one or two.

Several Demon Lords had been dispatched across different worlds simultaneously.

Invasion, destruction, summoning, contamination of world lines—

Each piece of information indicated a world teetering on the edge of collapse.

"So annoying."

Her voice was calm, yet utterly devoid of warmth.

"Activate the search for reincarnation candidates."

"Lock onto human worlds with high suitability."

The angels responded immediately.

"Yes, commencing search."

The screens rapidly switched, finally pausing on a familiar marker—Japan.

Age filtering, aptitude analysis, and mental resilience tests ran simultaneously.

Data flowed like a waterfall.

The candidate list quickly took shape.

Most were female students—high schoolers, university students, and a few young women who had recently left school.

The Goddess scanned the data from her elevated vantage point.

"This one, good physical ability."

"This one has martial arts training, reaction time is excellent."

"High occupational skill—mark as priority candidate."

"Confirm execution of reincarnation?" an angel inquired.

"Execute."

The divine sigils glowed.

In a flash of white light, several female students were transported to the front of the sanctuary.

"…Eh?"

"Where is this?"

"Wait, what just happened?"

They looked up and saw the towering throne—and the presence seated upon it.

After hearing the explanation, confusion quickly turned into discontent.

"We never agreed to this!"

"How can you just bring people to a place like this?"

"This is ridiculous!"

Some turned around, crossing their arms.

"No, I'm not doing this."

"I want to go back."

"Right now. Immediately. This instant."

The angels paused for a moment, glancing toward the throne.

The Goddess raised her hand, signaling them to be quiet.

"Listen first."

Her voice was soft, yet it silenced all other noise.

"If you are willing to defeat the Demon Lords and complete the mission, once the task is done, I will send you back to your original world."

A brief silence followed.

Then came a realistic counterquestion.

"Defeat Demon Lords?"

"We're just ordinary students."

"Where would we even get such abilities?"

"You will be given the abilities."

"Skills, growth systems, support—all will be provided."

Still, doubts did not disappear.

"Why?"

"Why should we fight for people we don't even know?"

"This isn't even our world."

The Goddess offered no rebuttal.

She simply presented the alternative calmly.

"If you don't wish to, you may remain in this world."

"Live as ordinary citizens."

The girls exchanged glances.

Finally, one spoke quietly,

"…Then I choose to be a citizen."

The angels nodded, and the light of transportation shone again.

No heroic vows, no passionate declarations.

They were sent to towns in the other world, ceasing to be candidates for heroes.

The Goddess watched as their names were crossed off the list.

"Next batch."

As the system began searching again, a voice from another world was unexpectedly detected.

"So boring…"

"School life is really boring."

"If only I could go on an adventure to another world, that would be more fun."

The Goddess' gaze paused for a moment.

"Lock onto this source."

"Immediately."

The angels did not hesitate.

The white light shone once more.
