"I have work to do," he says, voice firmer now. "Get off the desk, Elaine."
It should sound like an order and it almost does but there's something under it…maybe it's just my horny ass being delusional but I hear it
I tilt my head, watching him for a second like I'm considering it but I don't move. Instead, I shift slightly on the desk, adjusting how I'm sitting and spreading my legs more.
"I'm not stopping you," I say lightly. "Work."
His jaw tightens.
"I mean it," he adds, sharper now. "Get down."
I let out a small breath, like he's being unreasonable.
"You're always so serious," I murmur as I move again. A slow, subtle adjustment of my posture, that pushes fabric of my dress shifts slightly as I resettle myself, and I lean back more on my hands like I've decided I'm perfectly fine right where I am.
