Chapter 14: The Three Great Homies! A Devil's Face!
"Erza's cooking is as good as ever!"
After Ren praised her like that, a blush rose on Erza's cheeks. She lowered her head and didn't say anything.
The two of them ate at the table. Erza pointed at Zeus floating in the living room and asked, "Does Zeus want to eat too? You should eat."
Hearing his name, Zeus turned his head to look at Erza and Ren at the table.
He grinned, showing a creepy smile.
"No need. Zeus doesn't eat."
Zeus had no interest in the food at all. He turned his head and stared out the window.
"Forget it. Don't mind him."
Seeing Zeus gazing outside like he was longing for something, Ren rolled his eyes.
He'd been with Zeus for a while now.
For a while, Ren's requests had been easy, so he hadn't bothered creating any Homies.
This time, the request had been a bit troublesome, so he created Zeus.
Maybe because Ren's soul was stronger, the Zeus he created was extremely powerful.
He was very different from the Zeus in the original story.
After dinner, Ren sat on the living room sofa, studying Zeus as he floated nearby.
Since Zeus was already created, he might as well create the other two Homies from the original story too.
Ren rubbed his hands, then stretched out his right hand.
A faint,幽 blue glow appeared in his palm.
In the kitchen, Erza saw Ren walk in and was about to ask him what he was doing.
Then she watched him turn on the stove, the flame lighting up immediately.
Ren extended the hand with the glowing light straight into the flame.
Erza hurriedly tried to stop him. "Wait—Ren, what are you doing?"
"It's fine. Don't worry."
Ren turned back and gave Erza a gentle smile. As his hand went into the fire, he didn't feel any burning at all.
The glow in his hand dispersed, and in an instant it was completely absorbed by the flame.
Ren pulled his hand back. The flame on the stove began to surge.
The fire kept rising higher, and Erza had no idea what was happening.
In the next moment, a voice came from within the fire.
"Master, please grant me a name. I will serve you for all eternity!"
A human-like face appeared inside the flame.
The flame detached from the stove and slowly floated in front of Ren, eyes lowered, a deep voice echoing in their ears.
"Then your name is Prometheus."
Ren couldn't be bothered thinking up a name, so he used the name from the original story.
"Thank you, my master. Prometheus will never forget your kindness for all eternity!"
The fire roared as Prometheus muttered with lowered eyes.
After extracting another portion of his soul, Ren felt mentally drained.
In the living room, Zeus heard a name that wasn't Ren or Erza and floated curiously into the kitchen.
Seeing the blazing fire creature, Zeus immediately understood.
He put on an arrogant expression and said to Prometheus, "Kid, I'm your senior!"
"I only obey my master."
Prometheus glanced at Zeus, then placed his gaze back on Ren.
"You little—!"
Zeus flared up, but the moment Ren shot him a look, Zeus instantly behaved.
He still glared at Prometheus in secret.
"Ren, are you okay?"
Seeing Ren create a brand-new living being, Erza was curious.
But when she noticed Ren's face had gone a bit pale, she grew worried and quickly asked him.
Ren shook his head and smiled. "I'm fine. Don't worry."
Even though Ren said that, Erza still looked concerned.
Ren also wanted a blade, but he didn't want the same weapon Big Mom used in the original story.
He searched around the house for a long time and couldn't find anything suitable, so he temporarily gave up on that idea.
He decided that in a couple of days he'd find a blacksmith in Magnolia and have a weapon made for himself.
"Ren, the S-Class Mage Trial is in a few days. Are you nervous?"
After washing the dishes, Erza sat beside Ren and asked curiously.
Ren smiled and said indifferently, "Whether I become an S-Class mage or not doesn't really matter."
He shrugged and added, "This time it's only me and Laxus. I should be fine."
Even though Laxus had Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic and could restrain Zeus, Ren's own strength wasn't weak either, and he wasn't someone who couldn't fight without Homies.
If someone couldn't even get past Ren's Homies, they weren't qualified to face Ren.
The next day, Ren found a blacksmith in town.
He asked him to forge a long blade according to his specifications.
After hearing what Ren wanted, the blacksmith said it wouldn't be difficult at all.
Two days later, Ren came to pick up his blade.
He had it forged in the style of a hengdao from his memories of his previous life.
The blade was straight, and the body of the blade had a dark, blackened sheen.
As soon as Ren got home, he immediately infused the blade with his soul.
A moment later, a savage mouth and a pair of eyes appeared on the blade.
"Master!"
The living blade felt light as a feather in Ren's hand. The instant it opened its eyes, its gaze became extremely respectful.
"Your name is Napoleon from now on."
Just like before, Ren named it using the name from the original story.
Now Ren had gathered all three of his Homies.
They had the same names and the same attributes, but compared to Big Mom's Homies in the original story, they were completely different.
In both appearance and power.
Even though Zeus usually looked like a white cloud, the face he showed was far more vicious.
The biggest difference was Prometheus.
In the original story, Prometheus usually looked like a small sun.
But the Prometheus Ren created looked like a flame monster.
Raging fire constantly surrounded him, and within the flames was a grotesque face.
As for Napoleon, even the base form was different—he was a completely different kind of weapon.
