Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Returning Home

Chapter 88: Returning Home

After some back and forth, Kakashi finally agreed to the Old Director's request to put them in the movie as the main cast.

The four of them reshot some scenes, and then Kakashi strictly edited and cut certain parts of the film.

They were Ninja; they could cooperate using some flashy moves to save on special effects and make it more realistic, but they couldn't expose their own intelligence.

They finally managed to find a spot that hadn't melted yet to serve as the location for reshooting scenes in the Land of Snow.

This was a race against the Geothermal Devices; the ice and snow here would soon melt, and by then, achieving such a snowy scene might only be possible using immature special effects.

Inside the film crew at this time.

The Makeup Artist was carefully using a soft brush to cover the six familiar whiskers on the young man's cheeks.

Once the characters' makeup was finalized, Naruto and the others could simply use Transformation Jutsu later to save time on applying makeup.

As the specialized greasepaint covered them layer by layer, the "whiskers" marks that had existed since infancy gradually faded, like lifting away a perpetual thin fog.

His golden hair was still dazzling, and his azure eyes were still gentle, but the clearly defined jawline, the straight nose bridge, and especially the shape of those eyes and the unconscious spirit revealed between his brows... When the last trace was covered, the entire room fell into a breathless silence.

Koyuki Kazahana's eyes lit up. This guy has great natural features!

"Wow..."

Sakura was the first to let out a gasp. She covered her mouth, her eyes wide.

Did those six whiskers really affect Naruto's appearance that much?

So handsome!

Sasuke leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, his usually indifferent gaze freezing for a moment.

He frowned ever so slightly, as if quickly searching his memory, finally settling on the Hokage Rock above the Ninja Academy building.

A vague impression quietly overlapped with the face before him, causing his pupils to contract slightly.

And Kakashi's body, leaning against the door frame, seemed to stiffen.

The eye that was habitually half-closed in laziness was now completely open, and the depths of his exposed dark eye surged with extremely complex emotions: shock, reminiscence, sudden realization, and a dull pain of being unexpectedly struck by time.

His mask covered most of his expression, but the momentary rigidity and the gaze that seemed to pierce through a mirror revealed too much.

What he saw was not Uzumaki Naruto.

What he saw was the man from twelve years ago, who smiled without shadows in the sunlight, possessed the same dazzling golden hair and azure eyes, and always effortlessly became the center of attention.

The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze.

"Alright, let's get ready to start!"

The script for the four of them was as follows.

Naruto plays "Yoya": He needs to display the fervor of a hot-blooded youth and exaggerated Taijutsu.

This is a character who needs to grow, transitioning from initial impulsiveness to later calmness, demonstrating true Ninja Qualities.

Later, he also needs to persuade the wavering Princess Fuun and strengthen her resolve to defeat the Tyrant and reclaim her country.

Sasuke plays "Shirou": His role is defined as a cold, aloof swordsman.

Sasuke only needed to keep a cold face and use his refined Taijutsu and Shuriken Techniques; a few clean, crisp movements would perfectly embody the "Master's demeanor."

Sakura plays "Hitomi Shino": Her setting is a clever and agile female Ninja. Her main role in the plot is to protect Princess Fuun, ensuring her comrades have no worries.

Kakashi plays "Gin-san": He is a somewhat unreliable Ninja instructor who occasionally messes things up.

Before Yoya and Shirou fully mature, the unreliable Gin-san serves as the Combat Backbone during crises, repelling the invading Snow Ninja.

He will be severely wounded and temporarily taken out of the fight during his confrontation with Kazahana Dotō and his General, providing Yoya and Shirou ample opportunity to grow.

Most of the remaining work involved post-production Voice Acting and reshooting a few scenes.

With Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu, Naruto did the work of several people, ate the lunch boxes of three to five people, and received the corresponding payment.

Although he wasn't short on money, Naruto greatly enjoyed the process.

While acting, he would also send out several Shadow Clones to keep watch from a distance, preventing any stray Snow Ninja from slipping through, while simultaneously practicing Chakra Nature Transformation.

In the blink of an eye, ten days passed.

The movie was finished.

The mission reward and the Film Payment were both secured, and Naruto and the others had to return to report their completion.

Kakashi and his team were very happy; their gains this time were considerable.

However, the people of the Land of Snow and the director were reluctant to see them go.

The people of the Land of Snow wanted Naruto and the others to stay and protect the country because they were so powerful.

The director, on the other hand, valued their Acting Talent and wanted to invite them to continue cooperating.

Kakashi immediately refused.

The ship sailed further away, leaving the snow, the wind, and the story of their brief encounter in the Land of Snow on the horizon behind them.

Only the heavy reward in their hands and the memory of a special "acting" experience sailed with them on their journey home.

As soon as he got on the ship, Naruto stayed in his room to research Ice Release.

The small space was filled with a low temperature atmosphere completely different from the outside; a thin layer of crystalline White Frost condensed on the desk, the floor, and even the edges of the porthole.

His gaze was fixed tightly on his palm.

Water-style Chakra and Wind-style Chakra were being carefully controlled by him, attempting to make them merge and undergo a qualitative change.

When searching for Snow Ninja previously, Naruto had used Wind Release to perform Pseudo Ice Release in the Land of Snow. After experiencing the use of Pseudo Ice Release, Naruto decisively abandoned the idea of creating Ice Release by studying Pseudo Ice Release.

The feeling of using Pseudo Ice Release was entirely an application of Wind Release; it didn't feel like using a new Elemental Release at all.

Simply put, the difference between Wind Release and Pseudo Ice Release was like the difference between Wind Release: Great Breakthrough and Vacuum Attack: Wind Pressure Siphon.

However, the difference between Wind Release and Ice Release was like the difference between Earth Release and Wood Release; although the gap was definitely not as large as the latter, the essence was the same.

However, Naruto had already gained some insight into the research of Ice Release.

Ice Release is a Kekkei Genkai combining Water and Wind Chakra Natures, and Naruto had already conducted deep research into the five Chakra Elemental Release when studying Vacuum Attack.

Not to mention he also had Kurama's guidance and experience creating Wood Release.

He believed it wouldn't take long to create Ice Release.

He could also integrate Ice Release into the Rasengan later.

It would be an easy thing to do.

Kekkei Genkais and Kekkei Tōta were not too difficult for Naruto, which made him set his sights on another bloodline-related concept—Kekkei Mōra.

However, Naruto had no clue regarding Yin-Yang Release.

Nine-Tailed was also unable to help him with this.

Although his Tailed Beast Ball was a product of combined Yin and Yang nature Chakra, Nine-Tailed could only change the Tailed Beast Ball's form and power by controlling the ratio of Yin Release and Yang Release, and did not practice Yin-Yang Release cultivation.
