Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: The Treasure Inside the Exclusive Jar

The first three exclusive jars had already given him martial arts, swordsmanship, god-tier cooking, the three forms of Haki, and more. Most of the obvious things had already shown up, so he was curious what this one would bring.

He picked up the golden exclusive Jar and tapped it lightly. With a crisp clang, the Jar shattered, and three items dropped out.

It had been a while since he last opened an exclusive Jar for himself. Lately, he had mostly been opening them for other people. No matter how good the contents were, he could only watch from the side. Now, at last, he could see what belonged to him.

He bent down and picked up the three items.

The first was a card, and from the faint markings on it, it looked a little like the old Haki cards. But this one gleamed with a rich golden light. It was the first time he had seen that color, so it probably was not another three-Haki reward.

The second was also a card. A plus sign was printed on its surface, making it look like some kind of upgrade ticket.

The last item looked very much like a Poké Ball.

Could it really be another Pokémon?

Pokémon had appeared in his Jars quite a few times already. There was Squirtle at the Baratie, Kirlia in Syrup Village, and Pidgeot from Nojiko in Cocoyasi Village. Their strength had all been decent enough. If this really was a Poké Ball, then he was curious what kind of Pokémon he had gotten this time.

Traveling alone did get a little dull sometimes. Having one more companion around would not be bad at all.

After a quick look, Amon stopped guessing and used the system scan directly. He wanted to know exactly what he had pulled.

[God-Tier Medical Skill]: A god-tier medical skill card. After use, the user gains god-tier medical skill. As long as the target still has one breath left, they can be healed back to life.

So it was medical skill.

No wonder the card was gold.

Amon was not exactly someone who used medicine often, but it was still useful to have. A skill was a skill, and there was no telling when he might need to treat himself or someone else in the future. He had already seen how absurd god-tier cooking was, so a god-tier medical skill was hardly something to look down on.

And with a description like that, as long as someone still had a breath left, they could be saved. It sounded outrageous enough that it probably was not exaggerating.

He would be lying if he said he was not a little disappointed. Medical skill was practical, but it was not the kind of thing he had been hoping for. After a brief moment of self-comfort, he turned to the second item.

[Swordsmanship Upgrade Ticket]: After use, raises the user's swordsmanship level by one rank.

For example, if the host is currently at lv7 swordsmanship, using this ticket will raise it to lv8.

A swordsmanship upgrade ticket.

Just as he had guessed, it was exactly for leveling up.

For someone with mediocre swordsmanship, a single level might not mean much. But at Amon's current level, one more step upward would make an enormous difference.

He was already at level 7. One more level would put him at level 8.

The gap between lv7 and lv8 could be seen by comparing his current self to Koushirou. Back when he crossed swords with Koushirou, he had still been at lv7. Even without Armament Haki, without turning his blade black, he had still managed to trade blows with a Haki-using Koushirou for quite some time.

In the end, his weapon had been cut apart, but anyone could see the difference in what that fight implied.

It was like his lv8 Martial Arts now, enough to trade evenly with Kizaru and even keep up with his speed. He had beaten the admiral hard enough to make him back off.

With this ticket, Amon estimated that in pure swordsmanship, even Mihawk might not be able to beat him anymore.

And if swordsmanship and Martial Arts were combined, the result would be more terrifying.

That made this ticket an excellent reward, one that could push his strength forward by a large margin.

Only then did some real satisfaction appear on his face. At least it was not something absurd like a cooking upgrade ticket. If he had gotten that, he might have exploded on the spot.

He set the ticket aside and looked at the final treasure, the Poké Ball.

If it really was one, then he hoped for something cute. If the system handed him Muk or Gloom or anything along those lines, he might actually lose it.

[Shiny Kirlia]: From the Pokémon world. A high-potential shiny Kirlia. After being summoned, it will automatically recognize the host as its master.

A shiny Pokémon.

And not just any Pokémon, but Kirlia.

When Kaya had opened Kirlia before, Amon had felt a bit envious. In his previous life, he had liked Kirlia a great deal. Cute, graceful, almost like raising a little girl.

At least now the journey would not feel quite so lonely. When there was nothing to do at sea, he could spend time with this little cutie instead.

"Come out, Kirlia!"

Imitating the Pokémon trainer style, he grabbed the Poké Ball, threw it forward, and shouted the dramatic line out loud.

It actually felt strangely satisfying.

"Kiru~"

As the ball landed, a small figure in a white dress jumped out.

The shiny Kirlia had light blue hair instead of green, and its small red horns had turned orange. That was the main difference from an ordinary one, but it only made her look even more adorable.

The instant Kirlia appeared, Amon formed a contract with her.

At the same time, a status panel appeared before his eyes.
