Hearing the system's voice, Karlo immediately chose to ignore it.
He had been in the One Piece world for half a year, signing in every single day, and hadn't received a single cheat.

A group of pirates dressed in typical pirate garb were burning, killing, and looting the village, leaving no corner untouched.
Women, supplies—even little girls—were all being rounded up and taken away!
Even more cruelly, they slaughtered the men right in front of their families.
And after looting everything, they poured oil everywhere and set the entire village ablaze to make it look like an accidental fire!
At the village entrance, Karlo witnessed the scene and his eyes nearly split with rage!
"Please! I beg you—spare this village! Take whatever you want, just don't hurt my people!"
The old village chief was dragged out onto the road. One pirate was still kicking him in the head relentlessly until blood streamed down his face.

Just as the pirate raised his scythe with a savage grin, a hideous-looking bald man stepped out from the crowd.
"Yes, boss." The pirate kicked the chief aside and stepped back.
"Old chief, I know villages under Whitebeard's protection are loaded with money. You must have a stash hidden somewhere. Take us to it, and maybe—just maybe—I'll consider letting your village live."
The bald man sneered coldly, making the chief's heart tremble.
Consider letting them live?
That's their "consideration"?
They had already killed almost everyone and burned the village to the ground!
But seeing the despair in the remaining villagers' eyes, tears streamed down the old chief's face.
"Pirate lords, our village is just a remote border settlement. Whitebeard's crew never even passes through here—where would we get that kind of money?"

With that, the old village chief tremblingly knelt before the bald man in front of everyone.

The bald man put on a fake look of pity for a single second before his gaze turned vicious again.
"I was going to spare you if you gave us enough money. But since you have nothing… then you can all die. Send them on their way!"
With that, the bald man raised his cutlass and swung it down toward the old chief's head!
The other pirates followed suit, their eyes gleaming with sick excitement.
These people were completely inhuman—utterly deranged!
"STOP RIGHT THERE!"
