Chapter 84 - Chapter 84 - The quest continues

I was unconscious for what it seems to be several hours.

When I finally woke up, it was already dark outside the window.

A few of the moons are visible as there are presence of clouds covering most of the moons.

I glanced around and saw Lion sitting on a chair beside a desk. He appears to be reading a parchment in which a frown is starting to form on his face.

I'm regretting what I said earlier.

This world is my home now. I don't want to go back to earth. Despite it being far from normal, I actually enjoyed most of the adventures I have here.

Except for trying to survive during a battle or defending against monsters.

And for the several creatures who tried to harm me.

Lion doesn't seemed to notice me being awake as he kept murmuring something unintelligible.

I took my time looking at him, feeling warmth on my chest as I realized that I don't want to be apart from him.

What should I do? I'm scared of facing those kind of monsters again.

I bit my lip as i remembered the first time I saw Lion in his ultimate form. I was scared. I almost lost my sanity. But I remembered the words I spoke to them and courage suddenly filled me as I decided to be brave in facing my future adventures.

I thought that I would be content in just having a monotonous life which reminded me the way I was living on earth. Because of this unexpected (and unwelcomed) adventures, I began to grow, a huge difference to who I was before. Also, my relationship with Lion hugely improved because of these adventures as I became more audacious, expressing myself to him without any second thoughts, a huge difference compared before.

If I didn't try to grow, my relationship with Lion would end up being different than what we have now.

Tears fell down on my cheeks as I tried to imagine a life living here without Lion by my side.

I was a coward.

If I didn't tried my best to grow, if I didn't opened my heart and thoughts, what would my life be right now?

I wiped away my tears while saying a little prayer in my heart, that I would have more courage in facing my fears.

Protecting everyone, especially my Lion is my priority right now. Doing what I can despite me being powerless.

I should train myself to become stronger.

....

I sat up on the bed in which Lion glanced up with a worried look on his face. I went towards him and embraced him while nuzzling his neck.

He asked me if I'm hurt while he held my face with both of his hands, his eyes shining with tears.

I sat on his lap while continuing on nuzzling his neck while he kept repeating his question as he began to check my head for any injuries.

I can't blame him though, my head kept on being injured lately.

Stupid Bahar.

Stupid Chieftain Monarch as he is the actual cause of all my injuries.

Seriously, I want to know about the contract that Lion have, in which he seems to be a puppet of somebody's whims.

Finally, I have a goal now.

I will try to find out about that contract and do my best in releasing Lion from it.

And kill the dummy who Lion is in contract with.

Of course I won't tell Lion and the others though, since they themselves are reluctant in mentioning it.

What made them afraid of mentioning it? I wonder.

But I will start my goal as soon as we finish this mission.

....

I noticed that we aren't moving at all and asked Lion about it.

He told me that after I became unconscious earlier, they all decided to let me rest comfortably. While waiting for me to wake up, they decided to train themselves as what happened with the Kraken made them realized the seriousness of the mission.

A huge difference in the mission we had back at the snowy mountains.

Bahar had decided to lower his pride and trained everyone despite everyone's reluctance including Bahar himself.

Yet survival is much more important right now so everyone decided to have a temporary truce at the moment as the pack didn't forget what Bahar did to me.

The pack, especially Lion, decided to resume their revenge on Bahar after the mission is finished.

Please do.

I gave Lion a playful nip on the neck, in which he suddenly looked at me with an aroused look in his eyes.

That fast?!!

I began to stand up in which he pulled me down, making me sit on his lap while facing away from him.

One of his arms began to held me tight as his other hand brushed aside my hair, revealing my neck as he began to lick on it.

Thankfully, he must have washed my body earlier while I was unconscious since it would grossed me out.

I raised my head as he continued to lick my neck, surprising me when he started to suck a part of my neck.

It feels so good.

I was about to pull him closer to me when somebody knocked on the door.

I chuckled as Lion tried his best to ignore it but instead, the knocking intensified.

Lion muttered while snapping his fingers in which the door suddenly opened.

He didn't let go of me though.

Bahar walked inside the room as Lion continued to lick on my neck while looking at me.

There was a wicked glint in Bahar's eyes that suddenly disappeared when Lion turned to look at him.

What was that?!!

I should keep my eye out for him.

Lion and Bahar talked about something in another language in which I soon became bored and tried to get up in which Lion embraced me tightly.

Sigh.

I hate looking at Bahar.

Looking at the sky seems much more interesting as I tried to focus my attention there, acting like I was mesmerized at the moons.

Please go away.

Instead, I can see in the corner of my eye that Bahar sat on the edge of our bed, continuing to talk to Lion.

He's doing that on purpose.

Oh I won't definitely lose.

I began to act like I'm concentrating really hard at the majesty of the moons, while I can hear Bahar trying his best to prolong his conversation with Lion.

Does he like Lion or something?

An image suddenly came into my mind as I imagined them being on the cover of a BL novel.

I should NOT laugh.

I tried to bit my lip really hard to prevent myself from laughing while praying for someone to get me out of this room.

Somebody from up high must have heard my desperate prayers as Sly showed up and beckoned me towards him.

I happily stood up, much to Lion's dismay, and went outside the room.

Sly pulled me towards the kitchen in where there are so many seafood ingredients all over the floor.

I gave him a grin as I tried to think of something to cook.

....

Since the Kraken was killed, there are only 5 monsters left for us to face.

The next on my list is the leviathan monster as far as I know, are known to be a massive sea serpent with scaly armor and fiery breath. Some fantasy novels depicted the Leviathan monster as having several heads in which I decided to use the strategy we had in killing the Kraken.

This will be a piece of cake as we know how to kill it due to our previous battle with the Kraken.

I couldn't be more wrong.
