Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 – High-power incineration cannon!!

A colossal foot that seemed capable of blotting out the sky descended, turning every shred of noise and clamor into the thunderous roar of an earthquake.

When that titanic foot lifted again, the fleeing crowds, the towering buildings, the exploding cars—everything had vanished.

All that remained in the entire area was a single footprint-shaped crater.

Looking up, one saw a gargantuan figure thousands of meters tall, its body wrapped in rock-hard muscle. Every step it took made the earth tremble and sent life into ruin.

Its head bore pale bone armor; sunken eyes blazed with light as they swept the surroundings, while a string of enlarged red prayer beads circled its neck.

Clouds could only reach its waist, and humanity's proudest skyscrapers barely brushed its ankles.

The giant gazed down at the city; the once-bustling streets now looked as ridiculous as toy models.

So this is the view of the strong… I've truly become powerful—I'll make the world bow before me!!

The giant roared, a howl that shook the heavens, its sonic blast rattling the ground.

It swung a palm; the violent gust became an air-cannon that erased an entire fan-shaped district in an instant.

On the giant's shoulder, a thin middle-aged man in a rumpled white coat and messy hair screamed in excitement, eyes bloodshot.

"Yes! This is the power! I have the strongest mind, and you, my brother, have the strongest muscle! Together we shall rule the world!!"

This immensely powerful giant was, in fact, the scientist's younger brother.

The younger brother had always yearned to be strong, training his muscles day after day.

Until one day, the elder scientist invented a special drug named [Cholesterol King].

The brother eagerly swallowed it; his head sharpened, and he mutated into the terrifying colossus he was now.

While the scientist daydreamed of future domination, an icy voice drifted into his ears.

"Are you the one who created this monster?"

The scientist's pupils shrank in disbelief, terror on his face.

Impossible! We're thousands of meters in the air!

"Who!!"

He spun in panic and saw a golden-haired cyborg glaring at him with murderous eyes.

Genos raised his Palm Cannon; searing-hot energy gathered as his voice turned colder.

"Answer me. Standing on this giant's shoulder, you're clearly connected. Did you create him?"

Realizing it was just a cyborg, the scientist sneered, flinging his arms wide.

"Correct! See the giant below? That's my brother—the new god of this world! Together we will stand atop it all!"

Watching the scientist rave again, Genos's expression hardened; he shook his head in disgust.

"Hopeless lunatic. Since you made him and he's slaughtered so many, you deserve to die."

The moment the words left his mouth, the Palm Cannon fired at high spin, a blazing beam ripping through the air toward the scientist.

Half the scientist's soul fled in terror; he abandoned his speech and rolled aside.

His reflexes were impressive—he actually dodged Genos's first shot.

With no hesitation, Genos raised both arms, charging both Palm Cannons.

Death looming, the scientist shrieked like a madman.

"Brother! Enemy on your shoulder! Kill him now!"

Trusting his brother, the giant raised a titanic hand and slammed it onto its own shoulder with a storm-like blast.

Genos, who had sensed the danger and taken flight, hovered in shock at the sight.

What just happened?

Feeling something crushed, the giant opened its palm and looked.

A bloody smear of flesh and tatters of a white coat.

The giant froze for seconds, then howled in grief, the cry echoing across the sky.

"Brother!!!"

Its massive feet stamped craters into the earth as it clenched the remains, hot tears streaming from huge, clouded eyes.

"Why… why did this happen… We swore to rule together as the strongest—why did you leave me? Why!!"

Suddenly its gaze locked onto Genos in the air, eyes blood-red with berserk fury.

"You killed my brother! I'll destroy you! A world without him means nothing!"

While the giant raged, Genos finished charging.

He could sense the colossus's overwhelming power; its sheer size alone said it all.

A normal Burn Cannon would never work.

Thanks to the giant's tirade, Genos poured every last joule into a ten-second charge.

"High-power incineration cannon!!"

A crimson beam laced with crackling lightning burst forth, carving a fiery trail through the sky like a furious dragon and smashing into the giant's face.

Shockwaves rippled outward, the blast dispersing every cloud around them.

Direct hit—he never even tried to dodge!

Genos was certain that, no matter how mighty the foe, a point-blank Super-Powered Burn Cannon would grievously wound it.

Yet the next instant shattered his expectations again.

When the blaze and smoke cleared, the Giant Younger Brother's head was unscathed—only a faint scorch mark where the beam had struck…
