"Senior… you don't want me to come with you?"
A look of disappointment immediately crossed Mother Divination's face.
But she also seemed to understand.
"I understand."
'What do you understand?'
Through his mask, Yang An glanced at her. It was hard to imagine what was going through Mother Divination's head, but he couldn't be bothered to explain.
'The world bustles, all for personal gain. It was time to let go of the urge to help and respect the fate of others.'
The debt of gratitude had been repaid, so they were even. He had important things to do and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. What he needed were people who could help him, not a burden.
"I will finish what you've started here, Senior. I'm sure we will meet again on the Outer Continent."
It seemed Mother Divination had made some sort of resolution. After all, she had already sworn an oath.
"That would be for the best. We'll meet again if fate allows."
Yang An nodded but didn't pay it any mind.
