The celebration for Associate Professor Shi Min's 30th teaching anniversary and retirement successfully concluded at nearly 9 p.m.
As the guests began to depart, Liu Jin, Chen Yu, Wang Chuan, and Yan Feifan moved to the teahouse on the floor below the Jinxiu Grand Hotel.
As for Shi Min, he had family and friends to attend to, as well as several old friends who had made a special trip to see him. He wouldn't be free from this evening until tomorrow.
The group entered a private room. Liu Jin ordered some tea leaves, waved the waiter away, and began to brew the tea himself.
While rinsing the teapot and cups with hot water, he casually asked, "Feifan, how are the preparations for the research lab coming along?"
Yan Feifan reported in detail, "The renovations weren't extensive. We just knocked through a wall to create a doorway. They said it will be finished by this coming Monday."
