This was the first time in her life she had ever stepped into the bedroom of a peer of the opposite sex. Compared to a typical noble's bedroom, Ronin's was not particularly luxurious. There were no valuable carvings or paintings, nor any rare collections to be seen; it was plain and exceedingly simple.
In truth, she didn't know that Ronin had already packed up many of the room's contents and taken them to Mountain Forest Town.
"Ronin, how are you feeling now?" Blanche asked with concern, sitting by his bed.
In the two hours since returning to Wushan Castle, she hadn't been able to calm her mind at all. Whenever she closed her eyes, the assassination attempt would flash through her mind—the scene of Ronin holding her as he killed the two assassins.
Even drinking a bowl of Calming Soup had done little to help. Left with no other choice, Blanche used "bringing Ronin some Calming Soup" as an excuse to visit him.
"I'm fine."
