"Who helped me?" Tu Xiao'an demanded, floating up from the ground.
The old monster stared gloomily at the Purple Gold Snake and said indifferently, "You're not qualified to ask me. Scram, or I'm afraid I'll change my mind."
"Hahaha..."
Tu Xiao'an suddenly burst out laughing. With a shake, he transformed into a handsome young man and said, "I've told you, my fate is in my own hands. I don't need anyone's help, and I certainly don't need you to show me mercy."
The favor was too great. The problem was, Tu Xiao'an didn't even know who had helped him, and that didn't sit well with him.
Besides, he had already decided to take this old monster as his War Servant. He didn't need anyone's help, much less owe some mysterious, massive favor.
"You ungrateful snake. I promised someone I would spare you, and so I will. Now, scram."
The old monster's gaze was filled with disdain and contempt for Tu Xiao'an.
With that, he turned to leave.
