In the Guardian Flame, only Spirit Warriors were official combat members; Spirit Warrior Apprentices were merely candidates. The role of these apprentices was to gather intelligence on Void Demons or any other abnormal Extraordinary Spiritual Power and report it up the chain of command. The actual fighting was handled by official members.
'See? I told you we should have called for backup!'
Shu Feng shot an innocent look at Ding Xiaoxue.
If Ding Xiaoxue hadn't insisted on handling it themselves, Shu Feng would have much rather earned fewer contribution points, obediently called for backup, and continued his low-key development.
