Tan City was located to the northeast, so the journey was naturally different from the one to Taiyu City, as was the route they took.
The one leading the way this time was Gu An, the Medicine Hall Master, who was also the one who had promoted Yang Chan. Back then, after Gu An saw Yang Chan practicing the Ox Demon's Mighty Fist, he had Steward Sikong offer him a little assistance. This came in the form of a bowl of Qi Nourishing Soup, which allowed him to be smoothly promoted to an Official Disciple.
Although the two hadn't interacted much since, they had at least established a friendly connection. Before they left the mountain, Medicine Hall Master Gu An had even met with Yang Chan specifically to tell him that he could seek him out if he ran into any trouble. It was a clear signal that he wanted to be on good terms.
