Elias Lennox lay on the deck, a spent force.
He gazed at the last sliver of sunset in the sky and chuckled. "Junior Sister, I have good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"
Aurora Sinclair walked over slowly. Looking at his blood-soaked body, she said in a conflicted tone, "The good news."
"The good news is, the killer is about to die, and you've finally destroyed The Shadow." A familiar, playful look was on Elias Lennox's face, but the bright red blood at the corner of his mouth was jarring.
Aurora Sinclair moved quickly, pressing several major acupoints on his body, but she still couldn't stop the vitality from draining out of him.
Elias Lennox coughed a few times, more blood spilling from his lips. He seemed to use all his remaining strength to smile. "Aren't you going to ask about the bad news?"
Aurora Sinclair pressed her lips together, watching him.
