After composing herself, Naomi Kenway went downstairs. In the dining room, Ethan Shaw was reading the financial newspaper to Ian Shaw. Ian had a little frown on his face, seemingly wanting to speak but holding back.
The two of them waited for Naomi Kenway to join them for breakfast. All three of them preferred Chinese cuisine, so the table was laden with classic Chinese breakfast dishes.
When Ian saw Naomi Kenway, it was like he'd seen his savior. He jumped down from his chair and threw himself into her arms. Tilting his head back, he asked, "Mommy, are you all rested?"
Naomi Kenway gave Ethan Shaw a slightly strange look, then ruffled Ian Shaw's hair. "Mommy's all rested now. I'm sorry for making you worry."
Just as Naomi Kenway sat down, Ethan Shaw answered a call. He then stood up and put on his suit jacket. "Something came up at the office. You two go ahead and eat without me."
