Misty Cross sighed. "I wish it were just a misunderstanding, but Nathan definitely started it. He hit the principal's nephew, Patrick Morgan. Patrick was pushed to the ground, got a bump on his head, and had a nosebleed. Now, his parents are in the principal's office demanding an explanation."
"As for why they were fighting..." Misty Cross glanced at Renee Jennings and spoke cautiously. "It was because of Nathan's mother, Ms. Vance."
Renee Jennings felt her vision go dark as anger surged through her. 'It's bad enough that Nathan Lynch caused me trouble by hitting the principal's nephew,' she thought, 'but to think he did it because of Victoria Vance!'
Renee Jennings said viciously, "Where is he? I'm going to give him a thrashing."
"Please, calm down. The child was probably just acting on impulse."
Pushing open the door to the principal's office, she saw the principal and a couple fussing over a small child with a bandaged head.
