She tried to move her other hand, but it was still numb.
Sophia Zobel's world went dark, and she nearly fainted. "Tell me the truth. Is my hand crippled?"
Lucy Summers comforted her, "Mom, the doctor said you've injured a nerve in your hand. Maybe it will get better after some time..."
"How long will it take?"
Lucy Summers fell silent.
"Is Mona okay?" Sophia Zobel asked urgently.
"He's fine. He's with Victoria Vance right now."
Sophia Zobel let out a sigh of relief. "That's good. I'm an old woman with one foot in the grave. It wouldn't matter if I died, but not my grandson. He's still so young. Having to bury my own grandchild would be more painful than death itself!"
Lucy Summers couldn't help but cry. "You don't know... A lot has happened to the family recently. We probably won't be able to stay in this VIP room for much longer. We'll have to move to a regular ward."
"What?! How could this happen?"
