Rose Kenway's tone was cool and detached; she certainly didn't sound like she was welcoming them.
Jane Chandler cleared her throat. "I have to ask, have we done something to offend Little Sis Kenway?"
Rose Kenway chuckled. "Isn't that a question you already know the answer to? I may have been in a coma for many years, but I am perfectly aware of everything that has happened around my daughter."
"You promised to take good care of my daughter. Did you truly honor that promise during my absence?"
Jane Chandler opened her mouth to explain, but Jonathan Shaw was already too ashamed to look up. While he hadn't known Jane had taken it upon herself to arrange blind dates for Ethan Shaw, he had let her do as she pleased in many other matters.
