Seeing his younger brother, Bai the Fourth, return with a basket, Second Bai teased him about how he hadn't been kicked out by his niece, but had instead come back with a full load.
Bai the Fourth could only force a wry smile.
He believed it now. In his eldest sister's house, it really was this niece who called the shots. He also believed that this time, Fifth had been completely outplayed by her.
"What on earth does our eldest brother usually teach that kid? She's always so quiet. I thought she just took after her father with a talent for books, but how did she learn to mess with people like this too?"
"He didn't teach her that." Seeing his brother's disbelief, Second Bai shook his head and laughed. "Our eldest brother really didn't. He did teach her how to fight, though. You might not even be a match for her."
Bai the Fourth's jaw dropped.
