Qin Mei gazed at him without a word.
"Do you really like this courtyard?" Jie Jingchen asked.
"I really do." Qin Mei nodded. She meant it.
Jie Jingchen curled a finger and gently scraped the tip of her nose. "Try to get on Mom's good side. Maybe she'll give it to you."
