This time, the other guy left a message saying he had already come clean to Cecilia about his secret. He even claimed that Cecilia didn't actually like this "four-eyes" version of him.
Did he think that would make him angry? Wrong. He figured leaving a message like that only proved Cecilia liked his glasses-wearing self best.
"Sure," Cecilia said, more than happy to have some help.
"Are we bringing the kid?" Ian probed.
"No, she needs to stay home for school."
Ian quickly did the math. According to the solar calendar, today was September 3rd. The kid definitely didn't have time to go back to their hometown with them. It was better she didn't tag along; that way, he and Cecilia wouldn't be interrupted. He finished packing the luggage and walked toward the bed.
Cecilia made room for him, keeping a wide distance between them.
