"Tomorrow? So soon!"
Clara Grant frowned. Although she had already agreed to marry him, she wasn't quite ready in her heart—especially not for something so rushed as tomorrow.
"Since we've reached an agreement, what's the difference between sooner and later? In that case, sooner is better."
Seth Quinn raised an eyebrow, his gaze fixed on her. His tone was even.
"Marriage is such a big deal. Don't you need to discuss it with your family?"
"No. I make my own decisions about my marriage."
"I know, but your parents are getting on in years. It wouldn't be good to shock them, would it?"
"They're much more resilient than you'd imagine."
"..." Clara Grant was out of excuses. Finally, she said sheepishly, "Well, that's good then."
Then, she turned to look at Cherie and added, "What about Cherie's medical bills..."
"Don't worry. Once you marry me and become my wife, your problems are my problems. I'll take care of the medical bills."
