As soon as Clara Grant finished speaking, she looked up and saw the man's dark, cold expression, and her heart dropped.
From the look on his face, he was definitely angry. 'But is he mad that I stormed out of the private room just now, or did he overhear what I said?'
For some reason, Clara Grant felt a pang of fear. She instinctively grabbed Sarah, ready to make a run for it.
"Stay right there!"
Seth Quinn commanded in a deep voice, and with a single long stride, he planted himself in front of them.
Clara Grant had no choice but to stop, but she couldn't quite bring herself to look him in the face.
After a few seconds, a new thought struck her. 'What the hell am I afraid of? What right does he have to be angry?'
'I already made it perfectly clear to him that it would be best if we never saw each other again. So, isn't it perfectly reasonable for me to walk away the moment I see him?'
