Inside the private room, Seth Quinn leaned down and softly called out, "Clara." Clara Grant seemed to react, stirring slightly. She opened her eyes, her large, limpid gaze fixed on him in a daze for a moment. Though she didn't seem to recognize the man before her, her lips parted as she murmured, "Seth."
Hearing her say his name, the adoration and tenderness in Seth Quinn's eyes instantly deepened. He reached out to help her up, but before his hand could even touch her, Clara Grant sat up by herself. She glanced at his empty hands and pouted. "Waiter, I told you to get me a drink. Where is it?"
Seth Quinn knew she wasn't in her right mind, so he sat down beside her. "That's enough," he said softly. "No more. You're drunk."
"I'm not drunk," Clara Grant said, shoving his hand away as he reached for her again. "Oh, are you worried I'll drink your booze and not be able to pay? Hehe, let me tell you a secret."
