Seth Quinn glanced at Mrs. Cheney behind her and said, "Mom, you could have just had the driver bring Mrs. Cheney over. You didn't need to come yourself."
Hearing this, Sienna Hale thought he didn't want her there. She frowned, displeased, and said, "What? Are you saying you don't want me here?"
Seth Quinn looked exasperated. "That's not what I meant."
Mrs. Cheney, who was setting the food thermos she was carrying onto the nightstand, saw what was happening and quickly chimed in. "Ma'am, how could the Young Master possibly mean that? He's just worried about you, afraid you'll tire yourself out."
She then turned to Seth Quinn. "I told Ma'am not to come, but she was worried about you and insisted. They say a child is a piece of a mother's heart. What mother doesn't dote on her own son? Don't you agree, Young Master?"
