"Seth..." River Sterling started to say, but stopped when he saw Seth Quinn on the phone. From his gentle tone and affectionate expression, it was obvious who he was talking to.
In the past, he would have tactfully made a quick exit and even closed the door behind him so as not to disturb Seth and Clara whispering sweet nothings to each other.
Besides, back then, he wouldn't have just barged in without knocking in the first place.
But now... damn it, he was so bored, lonely, and miserable that he was about to go crazy!
So, not only did he not leave, but he plopped right down on the guest sofa.
Seth Quinn's words slowed for a beat. He glanced at the dejected-looking River Sterling on the sofa, then turned away to continue his conversation.
River Sterling watched Seth, sighing to himself. 'He really missed the old days. Back then, Poppy hadn't run away, Linden was still full of spirit, Seth hadn't met Clara, and Chase Childs hadn't yet fallen in love for the first time.'
