The last time Aurora Sterling got blackout drunk at The Zephyr, Damien Valerius found her and took her with him. The next day, when Sean Carter drove her back to the Sterling residence, he made a point of giving her a business card, telling her she could contact him if she needed anything.
The formal meeting with the Valerius family was this Friday. Time was short, and the situation was urgent. Aurora felt she had to confirm Damien Valerius's true feelings about their engagement. If he was also against it, that would be for the best. The two of them could reach an agreement beforehand and delay the wedding as long as possible. After she avenged her mother and sister, she could return to the organization. By then, with the bride-to-be gone, the marriage would naturally become meaningless.
