Aurora Sterling's words made the teachers and the vice principal stop and think.
"She's right," said one of the teachers who graded the exams. "We're always very strict about proctoring the monthly exams. Students have to turn in their personal belongings at the front before they even enter, and we scan them with detectors. There's no way she could have snuck any electronics in."
"That's true. Just like she said, she was in the last exam room. The students taking the test there are at the bottom of the grade. Even if she wanted to cheat, who would she even copy from?" said another teacher.
Several other teachers agreed with them. "Exactly. With her academic record, cheating in the first exam room would make more sense. But even there, no one got a perfect score."
As the teachers raised these points one after another, they turned to look at Aurora Sterling with incredulity.
Could she really have completed the exam on her own? Without cheating?
