Everyone in the living room fixed their attention on Joanna Jacobs. Yvonne Vaughn, in particular, watched her without blinking, afraid she might miss a single word.
"Joanna, are you saying the results are the same as last time?" Yvonne Vaughn asked.
Joanna Jacobs nodded. "That's right. Thanks to the medication, the virus cells in Damien's body haven't shown any significant growth. They're basically still under control."
Hearing this, Yvonne Vaughn's face fell with disappointment.
"So, you're saying the count hasn't decreased?" Sean Carter interjected. After Damien's last episode at the club had gone on for so long, his physical condition had been exceptionally good. Because of that, Sean had been holding out hope that the virus might have actually been reduced.
In response to Sean Carter's question, Joanna Jacobs shook her head firmly. "No, they haven't."
