Perhaps it was out of guilt. Even though she knew Joanna Jacobs had betrayed Damien Valerius, the ringing accusations from Joanna and Yvonne Vaughn still weighed heavily on Aurora Sterling's heart.
Seeing Damien Valerius in his current state filled her with immense self-blame.
Just then, Yvonne Vaughn's hysterical cries suddenly erupted from the second floor.
"AH! Damien! My son! What's wrong with you? My son!"
Yvonne Vaughn's strangled cries sent a jolt through Aurora Sterling. After exchanging a glance with Sean Carter, she raced upstairs.
On the second floor, the familiar room was now filled with the stench of blood.
Aurora Sterling burst into the room, her eyes immediately falling on Damien Valerius, who was continuously vomiting blood. The monitor beside him displayed wildly erratic lines, accompanied by a frantic BEEP BEEP BEEP.
