Golden Wheat Castle.
On the castle walls, a guard dozing against a battlement was violently shoved awake by his companion, the force of it nearly sending him to the ground.
"Look!"
He rubbed his drowsy eyes and impatiently followed his companion's trembling finger.
On the horizon, a serpent of yellow dust was roiling toward them, its silent, oppressive presence seeming to freeze the air itself.
At first, it was just a small dot, but the dust serpent swelled at a heart-stopping speed.
"Enemy attack!"
A sharp blast from a horn shattered the tranquility of Golden Wheat Castle. The tremor and cracked notes in the sound spoke more of the lookout's terror than any words could.
The sleeping castle was startled awake.
More soldiers rushed onto the walls, bleary-eyed, fumbling with the straps on their Leather Armor and cursing the bastards who had shattered their pleasant dreams.
