"What kind of broth did you order? I'm craving spicy food today."
Laura Lowell was really craving something spicy today, as if a meal wasn't complete without some heat.
Aiden Shaw took off his overcoat and walked over. "You're pregnant now. You can't be eating spicy food."
"But I really want to."
Laura Lowell tugged at the hem of Aiden Shaw's shirt, her expression pitiful and innocent—just like a child begging an adult for candy.
Aiden Shaw took her hand in his, his dark, deep eyes filled with tenderness. "Honey, pregnant women shouldn't eat spicy food. It's not good for the baby."
"Oh... alright."
'As much as she craved something spicy, she knew the baby had to come first. All Laura could do for now was resist the urge.'
Hannah Hale rested her head on her hand at the table. "Could you two please consider my feelings for a second? Stop with the constant PDA."
"What are you talking about?"
"The way your Dr. Shaw looks at you—seriously, even I'm about to melt just watching."
