"Su Nuo..." The man's voice softened. "I will give you the best of everything."
"I can earn it with my own two hands." Su Nuo looked down at her ten slender, jade-like fingers, then shook her head gently and looked up at him. "I don't want this kind of flashy, superficial marriage."
"I got carried away before. I even forgot that I'm only eighteen. This is the age when I should be enjoying my youth."
"Flashy and superficial?"
"Yes. We got married in a rush. Our entire relationship is held together by two little certificates. No flowers, no wedding. This isn't what I want."
"You care about that stuff?" The man stared at her intently, his thin lips slightly parted.
Su Nuo shrugged and smiled. "Why wouldn't I care? I'm not the type to pursue a platonic relationship. You think too highly of me."
The man was silent for a long time. After a while, he finally said, "I can give you all of that. But we are not getting a divorce."
