"Rory?" Hearing the voice, Eleanor Bishop stiffened slightly and turned around in surprise.
"Pretty lady, I missed you so much!" The moment Eleanor turned around, Shirley Lockwood cried, bypassing the wheelchair to walk up to her.
Seeing Shirley crying so heartbrokenly, Eleanor's heart ached in sympathy. She reached out, pulling the girl into her arms, and asked softly, "Rory, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"Pretty lady, do you like Rory?" Shirley asked carefully, blinking her tear-filled eyes.
Hearing this, Eleanor gently wiped Shirley's tears, her heart aching for the child. She smiled softly and said, "I do. Of course I do. I like Rory the most."
She liked her the most? Shirley looked at the pretty lady uncertainly. "Since you like Rory, why won't you be Rory's mommy?"
