Naomi Shaw pushed him away, stunned. She stared at him, dazed. 'His turn to pursue her for six years? Does he really intend to start over with me?' She'd seen his intentions clearly these past few days, but she didn't trust him. She didn't believe he loved her.
And yet, his sweet talk was so compelling, his affection so seemingly genuine.
He didn't press her further. Instead, he let her go and leaned back on his side of the seat.
"Do what you want with the ring. In any case, I don't intend to take back something I've given away."
'I can't push her too hard. What if I really drive her into Sean Donovan's arms?'
'So, the ring... If she wants to wear it, fine. If not, I won't force her. One day, she'll put it on of her own free will.'
Of course, he never expected his own darling children would come to his aid. Just as Naomi Shaw lowered her head to take off the ring, Dylan suddenly spoke up.
"Mommy, the ring is so pretty. Why don't you wear it?"
