Annabelle Linton swore she really wanted to remind him that this was just her period. Every woman in the world went through it. Did he really have to make such a big deal out of it?
Anyone who didn't know better would think she'd had a miscarriage. Damn it...
She was so exasperated she was speechless.
Annabelle Linton sighed, utterly defeated. "Leona Grant, you..."
"What's wrong?"
She frowned. "You don't have to be this good to me."
'It's just my period. It's a completely normal thing, so can you please not make such a fuss? This is making me feel so dramatic.'
Leona Grant looked at her like she was an idiot and blurted, "If I'm not good to you, then who should I be good to?"
A complex emotion flashed through Annabelle Linton's heart. She looked at him in a daze. "Then why do you have to be good to me?"
'She knew he was a germaphobe, especially disgusted by things like a woman's period.'
